I'm currently in the process of dialing in my RC injectors.
I've read in this thread (pg. 10, post #144) that your car should be in open loop, but when my car is in open loop, my FuelTrim_Low doesn't change at all, and there is no O2 feedback, even after idling for 16+ minutes. Is this normal while in Open Loop?
However, when its in closed loop, the values do change.
I'm confused because what I've been reading so far suggests that your idle trim does change and you have to be in open loop, but when I do that, it doesn't work.
Thanks in advance.

I`m pretty happy with 731 scaling and these latency settings for now:
4,69 3.936
7.03 2.616
9.38 1.656
11.72 1.056
14.06 0.720
16.41 0.504
18.68 0.360
LTFT LOW -1,67
LTFT MID -0,49
STFT +\-4
..UPDATED..

to get your logs of fuel trims you have to be in closed loop

nothere, thanks for the information and clearing that up for me.
Thats what I figured, but then what is the point of setting it to open loop?
I know in open loop it references the maps that you see in EcuFlash, and the ecu is no longer making any corrections based on the feedback from your O2 sensors, but is it necessary or required when it has no effect on the trims at all?

ah I think I found my answer...
"the trims wont change if you stay in open loop because the ecu is not making adjustments. if you are using open loop to tune, you need to keep making changes until you get to 14.7 AFR at idle and cruise. if you get close, say 14.3-15.0, you can then change back to closed loop and your trims will change and you can see how close you are. i tuned in open loop and am idling 14.3-14.7 and my cruise is dead on. i have just been letting it run in open loop all the time for a few weeks. just been too lazy to play with it anymore. Ive searche.this thread and still haven found any values for FIC 950's...anyone have the latencies and scaling? I really don't want to have to take hours on end figuring out the proper scalng from scratch. I was thinking about starting with global at 770 (rated flow @ 34psi) and working up. My stockers are scaled at 432 and I get -1lo/-3mid/0high on average.
Any suggestions on latency/deadtime? I'll post AEM's values in a minute.
For 1050's:
10 v, 12 v ,14v ,16 v
1.38, 1.13, 0.97, 0.88 opening reponse time (ms)
0.99, 1.00, 1.01, 1.02 closing reponse time (ms)
All measurments at 43.5 psi (3 bar)

^i am. My car has been running just fine with the fp green stock fueling at 18psi. Afr's are 11.6 to 11.2 at redline. Fuel trims are well within +/- 5... At the stock scaling I was getting fuel trims in the +8lo/+12mid range.
Either way, the global scaling doesn't do much otherthan for closed loop fueling.

here is my scaling and latency:
Fuel Trim Lo: -1
Fuel Trim Mid: -5
FIC 950cc injectors:
Scaling: 812
Latency:
3.312
2.184
1.32
1.008
0.768
0.624
0.504
Starts at 14.7, no idle problems. Runs the exact same AFR as my last tune with the stock injectors.
Latency is based on known 880 and 1050 injector latency, averaged and AFR checked.

if i have mine in right now and im getting -.3 LTFT Low and -.7 LTFT Mid and sometimes at idle it will wanna stall, what should i adjust first, i know changing the latencies will make me have to change the scaling as well, i will try and get exact values for everything, just wanted to know where i should look first to start changing things

^start with latency. You need a wideband. You also need to know how fuel trims work.
Set your 14.2v latency and start your car watching the Afr at first start. If it's rich, smaller latency time. If it's lean, longer latency. The scaling doesn't matter that much, just use 10-15% smaller than Advertised flow, or 35-40 fuel psi base. .
