Yes if the car was tuned at 479 scaling, then you would need to retune the fuel map for any scaling changes.

What are you current fuel trims for 513?

Bryan,

Thanks! I'm off to the E85 station (15 miles one-way), I will log my fuel trims again then add them to this post later tonight.

Going to try the following latencies.

2.904
1.392
0.792
0.648
0.480
0.312
0.192

I gave the shop in Hayward a call today. I understand you're booked for a couple months. The week of 9 Nov, I'm upgrading from a FP Green to FP Red as well as installing MAP Rev 2 intake, MAP O2 dump, Buschur double-pumper, and hardware to run SD and O2 narrow-band sim with AEM UEGO. I've already have the supporting mods for this upgrade. All parts in hand, just waiting until after SEMA for my local shop here in Torrance, CA to perform the installation.

I'll be sending an e-mail to your gstmotorsports account to discuss your schedule to get tuned. However, please let me know what injectors you recommend with this new FP RED setup?

Assuming there are no issues with my current tune, any concerns with driving from LA to Hayward post-FP Red mod (no WOT on I-5, conservative driving)?

Thanks,

Jason

Bryan,

Here's my most recent fuel trims:

Fuel Trim Low = 3.0423
Fuel Trim Mid = 0.2969

Thanks again,

Jason

That said you may want to go as high as 546. You may want to try and start with that. I looked up what I believe is the 1 set of PTE1000 I've tuned and the latencies were:

3.792
2.184
1.272
0.768
0.456
0.288
0.168

Hope that helps!
Do you have the scaling for these PTE 1000 for regular gas? Do you use the same latency for E85 and pump gas? If not, then what latency did you use for pump gas for PTE 1000?

Thanks

0.72

E85 Scaling: 573 (showing 2.2/1% LTFT right now, so you could use 562 if it was better for you)
What is the pump gas scaling for these? Did you keep the same latency with pump gas?

Thanks

Sorry for the noob question but if I switch from my 680 inj to 1000cc I just change the latency, but would I have to completely retune the car? So what are the best scalings for PTE 1000s on gas? Also is there a write up on tuning the Short, Mid, & LTFTs?

You will need to change the latency values from the 680s to the 1000s, adjust the scaling, and then retune the fuel map.

850=892

I am all about helping, but some things I cant just hand out. I will tell you though that 914 worked well for the scaling on the 1050's.

FIC1000s are 860 and it seems to work well. Latency looked something like this (again for the 1000 not 1050)

3.312
1.68
1.344
1.152
0.84
0.504
0.24
Scaling for E85? I'm using 636, but it may be too low for those values...
It seems FIC's are in there own world when it comes to scaling/latency values.

I may be switching to ID's after all the headache of trying to get these perfectly dialed in.

To clarify that earlier statement the word funny should be: "based on the use of calibration fluid".

Those scaling numbers were for gas, what size are you using for this 636? Thats about right for 1000s though I have dipped down to 622ish on the 1050s. I dont use trims though either, so I make sure it idles right, cruises right, and WOT matches the values I want in the table.

The latency values are VERY close to what I came up with (fuel trims=+2ish). I'm going to try lowering the latency values to your values and raising the scaling. Just for ish and giggles, to see if it drives better. If not, go back to what I had.

My car did not like any scaling lower than 636 on E for those injectors.
It seems you were running lower latencies and higher scaling while I was running higher latencies and lower scaling. Either way, both of our figures are only "1 step" away from each others. It may be 6 of one ......

Edit: I used those latencies with a scaling of 609 for E85= PERFECT! Awesome drive ability and idle. I'll get around to checking pump gas in a few weeks.

Been at this for a while now and some help would be appreciated. Running Precision Buschur Spec 1000CC injectors. Current Values:

Scaling: 790

4.6875 3.312
7.03125 1.680
9.375 1.464
11.7188 0.96
14.0625 0.768
16.4062 0.48
18.6768 0.36

LTFT LOW: 1.4735
LTFT MID: -9.9003

Not sure what to do at this point. Would really appreciate some help. Thanks in advance!
