Mad If I could get your code, i'd like to make just a basic console logging program so I can try and get more speed in the logging department without all the updates etc.
So I downloaded this program and tried it out. First of all, it works great - at least I think so Here are the two pulls I recorded. Unfortunately, I have quite a bit of knock which is what I was afraid of..... Now if they can only get the definitions right for my ECU and I can make some changes with ECUFlash 8)

Run #1 from 3rd gear

Run #2 from 2nd gear

Nice looking graph, but the numbers don't seem to make sense. Were you @ WOT during the pull(s)?

Well, come to think of it, I don't think I had the throttle smashed to the floor, but maybe I did..... According to the plot though my throttle position is varying.....

If I'm reading your log right you're getting some SERIOUS knock. You want to tune it so that line at the bottom (knock sum) is totally flat. Below is a log from yesterday with a 2nd - 4th gear pull. Notice how there is virtually no presence of knock, that is what oyu want to shoot for.

I have been suspecting for some time that the high timing numbers being thrown about on here would never be tolerated on my IX on Euro 98 RON fuel without detonation when you beat on the car... Maybe I run a bit more boost than many, but I also won't tolerate any detonation, many do, I treat it like the plague.

I was afraid of that - I know I'm getting WAY too much. I've been waiting for the definitions to be made for my ECU so I can use ECUFlash, but so far, no one has been able to extract my maps from my ROM. Till then I guess I'll just have to stay off the boost since I obviously don't want to destroy my engine.

I would turn your boost down to static pressure and stay out of it until you can adjust your tune.

Adding WB data and boost logging capabality will make this one heck of a program... I'm sure those two features are just around the corner!

Wouldn't boost logging require the installation of an additional sensor of some sort? I was under the impression the stock ecu had no idea what actual boost was, instead it used an calculation of some sort to approximate...

what is the pressure sensor in the intake manifold used for? there is a atmostpheric press sensor in the maf and a map sensor in the intake.
