Looks almost identical to an RS except for the high rpm advance. I suggest that if you are gonna try that as I have...bump it to 7.2*

thanks for the advice john! and it works out great in the car- it holds boost impressivly well for just using the stock boost solenoids with modified maps- and with the timing going for 7 to 6 to 5 at boost spike then back up to 18 by redline the car barely ever gets even one count of knock at 21 psi

i wonder how much boost at redline? i guess the tradeoff is: more timing less boost or less boost more timing? which one will produce the most power?

I don't know what boost I pull at redline but its near 200 load.. I can barely muster 15 degrees, sometimes 16 degrees at redline.. before it'll knock -_- 91 octane though

that's a fair amount of timing for an EVO IX at redline. my car runs less than that on 93 and a couple of other 9's I know of also run less than that. I'd be curious to know what boost you make at redline - I'm consistently at 17.8-17.6psi at 7600rpm in third or fourth gear.

yaah the zeitronix system is extremely bad **** for datalogging boost- but his boost seems to spike to about 22 and taper to 18 right at redline with timing numbers such as
RPM Timing
2000 7
2500 7
3000 6
3500 6
4000 5
4500 7
5000 8
5500 10
6000 12
6500 13
7000 16
7500 18

but also a deterant to knock is probably the fact that by redline his a/f ratios are right around 10.8-10.9 in 4th gear at redline

spectre what are u using to control boost

200 load u would be able to run that much timing because its only around 1 bar 14.7psi - check for a boost leak u should be in the load cell 240 at redline or just falling back into 220 at about 7000rpms and up

Can I get a second opinion on this ? Anyone know what Load you get at redline when running higher boost (22-23)?

My gauge doesnt sit at 0 at idle, crappy autometer. I'll glance at it tonight when I modify the map. Usually I'm too busy watching RPM XD Don't wanna bounce off the 7800 limiter for more than a second, if at all.

Hey Ralph I was wondering if you had run a Map supplied by JohnBradley on your Stock IX? I was wondering your opinions on that. Also John if you could shoot me a PM I am having issues loading that very same map, probably something stupid but I would like your input if possible.

FYI I wana flash a 100% stock Evo IX to get the most out of it and keep a Warranty for a While.

I think you would be best off deleting the map I sent you and send your ECU to DynoFlash, TTP, Ivey, etc.

To answer your question, there is no way to load only the low octane or high octane portion of a map. It doesnt work that way. The low octane is a safety net in case the car is malfunction/inaccurately tuned.

That's all i was asking, no reason to assume I can't understand or tune this. It is just a new interface for me. I again appreciate the map you gave me, I just find the system a little vauge to work with and juts need a little pointers.

Yes I have a tune centered around that mivec map, I'm not sure how it will compare to the few other tunes I've got. I'll be testing these next weekend at the track.. comparing trap speeds etc and see which gives me the best times . (Theres no AWD dyno within 2 hours of here)
