MIVEC tuning

I would agree. That or trying to cure shift knock. Mine usually drop to 16-17* and only from 100% to 180%, then the rest of the map is left as is. The exception of course would be something like an SD map that needs to be done differently. I was thinking about the timing. If the IAT was sufficiently high, your map would look like that since the ECU could be correcting 2-3 for the temps. That would still make it VERY AGGRESSIVE, but would better explain what we are seeing.

Those would be some HIGH IAT temps to pull enough timing for me to consider that timing to be average IMO. The most I think the IAT tables pull is 3* and thats insanely high air temps for that to happen if memory serves me. Usually when i see a car that can handle higher timing, there ends up being a boost leak somewhere which is usually reflected by increased load values though. It more closely resembles a map for alky injection though.

Is just curious why some maps are set for greater low-end torque and others for more high-end horsepower but not both.The key is to achieve booth but I really consider that Mivec is the key here.Is just a need to log this routine in Evoscan from my point of view.

Not that its alot but I've made about 15 dyno runs testing various mivec maps and I've always witnessed my best results by not shaving mivec timing off in the upper RPM. This is stock cam, stock turbo, stock O2, with only 3" TBE.
Some of you have gone almost a full circle on this mivec stuff.... Quite a few people are posting maps that look like only slightly tweaked JDM RS maps! (BELOW)

I just tried logging mivec in evoscan and all I got was 72,72,72,72. I'm pretty sure I put the data settings in correctly, but obviously not. Any help would be appreciated.
here is the evoscan formula:
<DataListItem DataLog="N" Color="" Display="MIVEC" LogReference="MIVEC" RequestID="40" RequestID2="41" Eval="72-0.6*x/32" Unit="deg" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="33" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="33" ScalingFactor="1" Notes="" />
I basically filled in the blocks when adding the new logging item. The thing I noticed is that there are 2 request ID's in the item, where as all others only have one. Not sure if that's the problem though.
Here are my ecuflash definitions: (88590015)
<table name="MUT40 MIVEC high bit" category="MUT" address="3ef86" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>
<table name="MUT41 MIVEC low bit" category="MUT" address="3ef8a" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>
Set the high bit to 7650 and the low bit to 7651.

Hello, I am interested in testing with the MIVEC but is a task that I can not understand.
I would like to change the map but do not have any map other than home, because in Spain is a subject rarely studied and shared very little information about maps in general switchboard ...
Someone that I can provide a map for a MIVEC Evo IX Stock, only with direct admission hks, exhaust 3 "turbo and 1.8 kg down to 1.4 at court?
Sorry for my English, use a translator ...
A greeting!

JDM MIVEC map is preferred over the map EDM???
I want to try in my evo to exhaust 3 " HKS direct admission, turbo pressure 1.8 kg> 1.4 kg ...
Would there be any problem changing the map of the EDM by
JDM?
Thanks in advance!
