So general consensus is that the first ecu (13) is the one to go with?

ps. spectre, what is different between the three (13-15) minus the injector scaling feature -not found?- on the 13?

Just installed my boost gauge from my VIII to my new IX. I think mitsu did messed with the boost. If I am @ 3rd gear @ 3k rpm & I floor it, the boost only goes to 15-16psi only without spiking to 19.5psi. If I am @ 2nd gear & then floor it up to maybe 6k rpm & then shift to 3rd gear the boost will spike @ 19.5 & then drops down to 16psi. This is the weird part, if I am at 5th gear & then floor it the boost goes to 18psi & it stays there for a long time (I did not want to go more than 110mph so I let go when I hit 110mph) but did not wait to see if it will fall. I also tried some down shifting & the boost never spike to 19.5 psi. I know they 19.5psi is not the max boost for the IX but so far this is the highest I have seen my car goes. Please dont tell me that there is a loose hose clamp because you can see that it does spike to 19.5 & even hold 18psi of boost @ 5th gear. I guess it is time to put my old MBC to my IX.

I don't see any other difference in the fields that ECUFlash can read. I'm wondering if some of the wastegate settings (whcih are unreadable on all 3 maps) are different.

My 06 IX MR is stuck at about 15 psi of boost. MBC is going in as soon as I get rid of this crappy tank of gas... (never get gas while the truck is filling the tanks, I was in a hurry and should've just skipped getting gas)

Mine was built in March and I consistently see 19.5 lbs. with the occasional spike to 20.3. This is in 80-90 degree temps at 4800ft. elevation

I have flashed with both 13 and 15 mapes on my EVO and the 13 seems to be a better but the butt dyno did not feel alot besides down low. i did set all the boost tables to 255 and 159. Most of the time it will hold 1.3 on the stock gauge sometimes it will only hit 1.1 and hold.

So who knows.

Don't trust the stock gauge too much, either.

I think that the stock Gauge is fine. SMALL, but made by VDO so it should be a quality piece.

Bought my 06 MR in October of 05 so I should have map 13. My car only hits 1.2-1.3 bar max.

Don't worry guys, I have tuned some low baselining evo9's but once you do the reflash and mbc, the results are the same as the first allocation evo9's.

What's a good brand for MBC for the Evo IX? And can you just set it and forget it, or do you have to keep messing with it as the weather / temperature changes? I just want a little more zip in my car. I use it as a daily driver.

We run the hallman mbc in our cars. I just leave mine set, however the cars we do are all custom tuned.
