tools for disassembly of a ROM?

Indeed not, I'd only forgotten him because I don't understand the funky PC/Mac side of it. Microcontrollers on the other hand remind me of the 80s CPUs I used to play with so feel a litttle more homely Seems to be working well with everyone doing their bit on things they understand/have motivation for.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet...
IDA Pro Advanced is one of the best tools available and has a fancy interface. unfortunately it is not free and the demo version on the company's website is not the advanced edition. The advanced edition is necessary for SH2 disassembly.
The SH2dis program that is free is fine but only outputs to a text file, so working with it is a little harder. There is also a some c source files available that allow you to compile your own disassembler for the SH2...
