100 octane + Ecuflash
God I love 100 octane.
This was with about 2 gallons of 91 mixed with about 8 gallons of 100 octane.
25psi, 3rd and 4th gear pull. Clean as a whistle and smoother then even my knock-free 91 octane map.
Next tank of full 100 octane and when I get my wideband back in the car is when the real fun begins. See what timing and boost I can get out of the car then.
I do notice the MPH/Speed is logging very oddly with big chunks of constant numbers in the newest EvoScan.

100 oct
100 octane definitely makes a difference. I tried it for my first time last week end at the strip and love it. The tip of my exhaust was white instead of black. The car was smoother and definitely felt a lot stronger.

Yea I haven't touched the fueling yet since I don't have the wideband hooked up in the car right now (rewiring ECU+ harness, etc)
That's next.

Up top I do however run those numbers. I haven't tweaked the timing up top yet. Waiting to put my wideband back in.

Interesting on the VIII vs IX timing....On 93 octane I think I can get even higher than 15 degrees up top as my current tune has no knock....I cannot wait for a custom tune at the track from Jestr....Hopefully by then I will have a Meth/ ALK kit and a good wideband.
Back on topic -- your map must be fairly rich if you have no knock between shifts right? In fact, you have no knocks throughout?? If you are setting up for the track, is there an optimal point of power / reliability? Have you seen some knock and then either changed AFR or timing to get this conservative? Also how does your log look if you do a few laps at a track (high rpm, rolling throttle, etc)? I noticed a difference with my logs 2000 - 7200 rpm full throttle vs. back roads full throttle, brake, roll throttle, full throttle, etc...
Finally, are there a lot in folks in Cali running METH / ALK to get boost 91 performance?

I think there is a certain love/hate relationship with 91 octane. eeking out alot of power with **** water is a pain in the *** but when you do, it feels like a great accomplishment.
