After searching, I got nothing so, should the 'clear dtc's' button turn my cel off for obd-II?
And if so, if it is not turning it off, can that have something to do with my cable? I'm not sure what cable I have (I know it's a 1.3, but not positive which version)
As I just learned today, the 1.3d is not capable of reflashing, which would make me think it also wouldn't be able to turn a CEL off
Also while I'm at it, I didn't search for this one, but is there a way to tell which cable I have without trying to write to the ecu?
edit: found a post by hamish and reread the descriptions of the cables on his site, so I know I have 1.3r or 1.3u, just not sure which one

Hello, I am having issues connecting to log. ECUflash works great, and evoscan has no problem reading the ECU, but will not connect to log. No change whether with vista 64 bit or XP (tried two different laptops, same results). Just keeps retrying the connection.
I've tried with and without the external wideband checked (AEM UEGO) and no difference either. No issues recognizing the cables. I'm stumped.

Hello,
After a couple of months of reading and working with the EVO ecu I have finally been able to get the car running(97 Eagle Talon). The rom I have is 94170008 and seems to be working well with the car. The only items I added where the periphery bits and 3D MUT table.
I am unable to track down a fix for the P0340 and P0335 codes. Is there something in the periphery bits I could use or do you know of something else I could do to fix them?

Im having a problem reading and writing to my rom im currently using 1.35and when i try to read or write to rom i get this tick noise then an error and the last thing that comes up is no response to any known code

please, how do I get into the evo 5 ecu... I'm trying and nothing happend...
but the communication do exist between the ecu and pc, because the CEL turns on when I'm trying to get the ecu info...
please help... the only thing i've not tried is the pin 1 and 4 bridge...
