I have the R Cable and can't use ECUFlash. Apparently you need the "U" cable. With the "R" cable, I can still pull CEL codes and clear them through EvoScan.

 

New guy here - having some trouble viewing my Evoscan datalogs in a spreadsheet program. I tried using Excel and Open Office Calc. The only time my logs appear in the folder they are supposed to be in is when I hit "Start Playback" in Evoscan. If I open that same folder in any other way, like going through the hard drive, then program files, etc it's like my logs disappeared. I can view the sample logs in excel just fine, but my own logs are gone. Any ideas? I'm not real computer savvy to say the least.

EDIT: I found the logs - apparently Vista is saving the files to some remote corner of the hard drive. The path is hard drive>users>my name>appdata>local>virtual store>program files x86>Evoscan>saved logs etc.

Why is it saving it there instead of just saving it in the normal program files with the sample logs? I hate technology.....

Question:

When logging with EvoScan its not taking data very fast. So basically in my logs the "resolution" of the data is very small.

One line will show 1200rpm the next might show 3000rpm during a pull. This is obvisouly not helpful for logging or tuning. Im also only logging about 5 parameters as well.

Im using a almost brand new laptop with good components and lots of memory so its not a hardware issue. Core 2 duo 2.7ghz i think 3Gb of DDR etc etc..

Any ideas of whats going on here?

 

Has anyone had trouble adjusting the injector latencies table in Ecuflash? I can adjust the values for 4.69 and 7.03v just fine, but for the other voltages it won't let me adjust it by using the "increase by 1%" option. I can only adjust it by using the increment or decrement, which is WAY too big of a change. I am new to Ecuflash, so it might be something stupid that I'm missing.

EVOSCAN latest version with Tactrix 2.0 on my EVO X !!

Would like to read out and delete DTC's but after pushing the button EVOSCAN hang up.

Anybody with similar problem ?

I dont see it on the evoscan website. There are a couple of bugs in v2.6 that may have been fixed in 2.7. Id like to give it a try..

 

I have a couple of questions for ecuflash, first what is the request id for knock sum i have it as 26 but it is reading like 400 counts, also how do i view my log results in a excel spreadsheet?

 

I'm having issues downloading ECUFlash (the latest version on the website). I can download it just fine on my MacBook Pro but on my Dell I'm having issues. I keep getting a error message that says, "Intsaller integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the Installer's author to obtaina new copy.

Are you running windows 7, if so try running the installer as Administrator. Right click on setup executable and choose "run as administrator".

The above recommendation is under the assumption that you download it fine and you get this error while trying to install.

Hey guys I just started having a problem where I goto start evocan and it starts trying to reinstall it? Then I have to go into my add/remove programs and remove evscan alltogether then redownload and install it whats up with that? It does it all the time now and last time I did it I extracted the files for 2.7 beta5 like I always do and it would not register as anything other than 2.6? I tried that 3 times anyone have this issue?

2.6 is what is available and it works great. For me, it's just the little quirk of not being able to pull DTC codes with a Tactrix 2.0 cable. The 1.3 cable works just fine.
