I just got a tactrix 1.3 and I downloaded the ecuflash from tactrix, but it wont read my ecu.......I opened ecuflash, then turned my key switch to on, plugged in the tactrix usb, and then selected read on ecuflash. I choose my car from the list but it wont read it,"no documents"??? Does anyone know why its doing this?? I uninstalled and reinstlled ecuflash but that didnt fix it. Thanx for looking

 

Which version cable? If you didn't get a 1.3U cable you can't from your ECU.

 

how can you tell what version it is?

I bought it on here, I went back to the original for sale thread where I bought it and it does say 1.3u

 

It does say I am using the tactrix universal 1.3U but the last two codes say interface close and unable to connect

wierd problom with evoscan, it wont display the dtc but i can clear them...says it timed out and to restart the car which i have done

i spent about 4 hours reading lastnight and must have had 10 windows open reading on tephra and speed density but still could not firgure out how to load my xml pack and 94171715 into my ecuflash....maybe im just stupid but could someone give me a hand, im going to continue to read

so ive loaded the ecuflash software, have a tactrix 1.3 cable. I can read my rom fine, but for some reason i still cant get any parameters of the log. When the window popped up and asked for an internal id, i just picked one for an evo 8.

heres what rom info i have.

my evo is march 04 btw..

I thought you had to do speed density through Tephra?

 

you do. But im still trying to be able to access my ecu completely. I had the car tuned, and when i plugged in with ecuflash i had to choose a Rom ID. I wasnt sure which one to pick, so i picked the first 04 USDM Evo 8 rom id. ever since that point all i can do is see the rom info. No parameters come up for me to tune. Id like to get fully into my ecu, Ive checked the definitions files on ecuflash and the file isnt there for the Rom id i picked. But like i said, i just randomly picked the first USDM evo 8 rom in the begining. This was after the tune. SO everytime i try to reset the rom id, i have something i can go back to.

Once this is all figured out, ill be loading tephra so i can edit the map for SD.
