ECUFlash / Evoscan / Mitsulogger Questions

Your ROM id is 96530706, which is a Tephra v7 rom. You can grab the XML files from http://www.norcalmotorsports.org/use...OD-XMLPack.zip, extract that file into your ecuflash's rommetadata directory and try opening the file again.

First of all, I'd like to say Hello to everyone on the forums!
Well, long story short.. I just bought my first evo which turned out to be somewhat neglected.
Previous owner put PTE 1000cc injectors (untuned) on a unopened engine/stock setup car(evo9 turbo) with plans to go bigger down the road which obviously never happened. Under load the car seems to be running very rich (10.2-10.5) but when i let off the gas, in gear, it leans out of range (-----).. At idle, a/f is at 14.8-15.5.
So being the newb i'am, I don't have the knowledge to dial in big injectors. so, i ordered some OEM stock 560cc's off ebay..My question is... After i install OEM injectors, if my A/F is still bouncing around, is there a a place i could d/l the stock rom to maybe fix this problem?? I will be using Evoscan v2.8 with tactrix 2.0 cable.
Another problem I ran into while trying to connect to my car is when i click start datalogging, evoscan prompts this error msg:
When i click yes, it does nothing... I've tryed searching FTDI on the Evoscan site with no luck.
Any one else get this error?

You can find stock ROMS at http://www.evoscan.com/free-ecu-rom-downloads and http://code.google.com/p/ecurom/sour...ms%2Fstock%2F8
For the '04 GSR you probably want 97250001.
Installing EcuFlash will also install the FTDI drivers.

Alright, so i put my injectors in an she seems to be running worse than before which leads me to believe the previous owner 'tryed' to tune for the 1000cc's. I installed ECUflash an re-installed Evoscan to finally connect to my car an start datalogging.. but, now i'm having trouble finding the RAW rom files to upload on ECUflash in order to flash my car with the stock roms (97250001).. When i try uploading the .bin file in your second link, it gives me this error:

You need to have the correct .xml definition file for the ROM as well as the rom file itself.
You can get the 97250001.xml file from http://code.google.com/p/ecurom/sour...tsubishi%2Fevo.
You'll also need evo7base.xml.
Copy those two files into your ecuflash rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo directory, restart ecuflash and try again.

Done, k, now it says folder already contains a 'evo7base' file...Do i replace the existing file?
Thanks alot for your help man guiding me through this!
EDIT: I replaced the existing file, but made a back-up copy before i did. (Just incase)
Now i get this error on ecuflash start-up:

I'm using the latest version from the evoscan website.. 1.43.0.3252.
I had to choose a definition because it wouldn't recognize the ROM image using the current definitions. If i choose to use wizard to create a new definition, there is a drop down list. Which one would i choose?

If you use the wizard to create a new definition, it will be empty and you can't do anything with it.
Maybe try grabbing the 97250001.xml and evo7base.xml files from http://www.evoscan.com/roms/mitsubishi/ and replacing the ones you already have.

I downloaded an put both those .xml files into the rommetadata/evo folder.
The ROM file(.bin) i downloaded from from your 2nd link.
I try to open the ROM (.bin) file from ECUflash, an i get the same error msg (error2 attached in earlier post, post #1012)...
