Obd2

for those people who have tuned the ecu, what is the "biggest " cam you think you can get to pass OBD2 emission test?

I can get the afr's spot on with an aftermarket ems even with revolvers, but that is a moot point with emissons tests. Prolly can't make the other gases test though.

OBD-II test doesnt use a sniffer so it doesnt matter..

However, if you need to do a sniffer test, then reducing cam overlap, running the car in closed loop, and playing with the timing a bit to reduce Nox emissions will pass a sniffer, and having a catalytic converter..

I passed CA sniffer test with 780's and 272/272 i-4 e-1 setup. Oh I also have a hiflow cat.

I'm running 280's straight up with 1000cc injectors, and even though my state is OBD-II only, no sniffer, I did put it on a sniffer to test it, and it passed.

Sniffer tests are not too tough. I once easily passed a sniffer on my OBD1 Turbo miata running phased injection & no cat.

For "offroad" use, it would be great to disable the codes associated with the secondary O2 in ECUFlash.

Thats likely coming soon enough.. It seems that the development has been focused on the 2 byte load and disassembly recently.

I'm hoping that I can redirect some focus on enabling/disabling/altering some CEL Code trigger settings and test parameters so things like aftermarket intake manifolds that don't have EGR provision, or running an aftermarket MAP sensor, won't throw a CEL code or cause the supported tests not to complete.

How did you pass visual without the stock cat?

For "offroad" use, it would be great to disable the codes associated with the secondary O2 in ECUFlash.
In the meantime the mechanical O2 sim solution works great.

That would be great! I wish I could help with the programming.. I'm a hack when it comes to programming.

Friends in low places :P

Yes, this works well for me. But, if the code could bypass the rear O2, then we could use the signal for logging other data (such as boost) as suggested in a separate thread.

I am in the military and my car is registered in TX. I only have to pass the sniffer for the Navy so I can get my base pass. I dont even worry about cops seeing my mods.

thanks guys,

seems a shame to unload the Hydra. Evidently though the ecuflash will allow me to manage the Revolvers. I just need to start reading the posts about codes now.
