welcome me to shouldn't be
guess I shouldn't be ecuflashing because ....
I can't get my ecu read from the ecuflash program. Every attempt ends in some problem, misread kernel, can't read ecu, etc. Sometimes I can retry and get a little farther down the list only to fail on another item.
tried installing and reinstall ecuflash
I get a number of clicks from the car during the upload attempts, and have an ecu-plus connected, could that be an issue?
anyway, " Hi " to all the other shouldn't be doing this guys.

make sure u have ur cable plugged in before you start the program.
I turn the car on,
plug in the cable to the car, both connectors
then plug into my laptop
then open ecuflash.

flash by Al some time ago, so I don't think that is an issue.
Power may be, the newly installed wideband has to stay hot, a few leds in gauges and a converter for the laptop, that might be the culprit.

I think I had this problem and might have your solution.
The ECU+ has a jumper on it to enable ODB2 data reading. If that is enabled in the ECU+ then tactrix cable becomes useless because the ECU+ prevents ODB2 access.
Write an email to Tom about the ECU+. I'm not sure if I remember correctly but if you can take out the ECU+ board then you'll see a jumper that has an ODB2 label, you'll have to take the jumper off of just jump one of the pins rather then two.

Just be persistant, cautious, observant, and experimental. Don't be afraid to uninstall/reinstall. Make sure car battery is charged, dont plug and unplug without ign off, and dont ever test your tune without monitoring knock live
