Quick question from the computer illiterati: <--Yes, I am a third person pluralality ...and I apologize in advance, this will probably be the first in many, many questions that many of you find woefully simple.
I did the additions to the 96940011.xml file for the JDM MAP sensor...
When I downloaded and saved the ROM I gave it a '.hex' suffix. I opened the ROM in ECUflash and no new category for the JDM MAP sensor...hmmm
I change the suffix on my saved ROM image to '.bin' and voila, it works...hmmm, again
Why is this?

but we are not logging the same thing here....They added the extra sub rountine instead of just switching the current logging line from the factory map, so you can switch between the jdm and usdm map without having to change the data.xml file each time
Anyone else having issues with the JDM map sensor reading high
Mine read 28psi on 91 octane today@ 4k, however 0 knock

just read his post...it was just slightly laggy and maybe off my .5psi
I must have the stock turbo that could...it holds 22.6psi at 7k...24psi at 6k
I dont trust my boost gauge, ill have to install one of the .1psi resolutions gauges from work

Im playing with my boost settings so its very possible im hititng 28psi...timing is very conservative, perhaps explaining the low amount of knock considering what boost target im hitting. Only perplexing thing is why I didnt hit boost cut.
My laptop is being funky too, so need to iron that out, I havnt done the 2-byte load mod yet
Will try some things and log it again today

When I log with the JDMMAP, I use Logworks and log directly from the sensor and not from the tactrix cable. Then I apply about 0.25-0.40 smoothing. This makes the boost almost the same as the GM 3 bar MAP sensor that is mounted on the firewall and does not pick up noise.
