Hi mrfred

I have a EDM GSR evo 9
I don`t have a MAP sensor at all after few checks
Can I install my JDM 3 bar sensor?
If yes can you please tell me what I must do in order to install this sensor?
I just receive the sensor but don`t know where to swap it.

I run 88840017 ROM id

I could wire it directed to my ecu right but this will work?

92 = signal
42 = power
49 = ground

I would like to swap from my ROM to 88590015 ROM version but I still have trouble with the setups......

Thanks

Daniel I think you need an adapter to put on top of your intake. It looks capped from the picture.

Has anyone gotten an AEM 5 bar working with this mod?

Maybe this can make the job?

Is for DSM but looks the right adapter

Next week I hope I will get my magnus intake manifold

I still need this adaptor to fit the map senspor anyway

Is there a definition for the 9650006 rom? I have to keep switching from USDM rom to the UKDM rom on my friends car just to log and set the boost.

JDM MAP is plug & play with the 95630006, log MUT 38 with the correct formula for you're elevation.

Zeitronix 5Bar settings:
Map test 1: Mid VE max voltage = 4.90
Map test 1: Mid VE min voltage = 0.10
Map test 2: Low VE Max Voltage = 4.90
Map test 3: High VE Min Voltage = 0.51
Map test 4: Max minus Min = 0.51
MAP Scaling for Baro = 250
EGR Pressure Diff = 0.02
EGR Map check 1 & 2:
RPM | Value
750 - 84
1000 - 84
1250 - 73
1500 - 65
1750 - 60
2000 - 55
2500 - 48
3000 - 43
3500 - 23
I am using 94170015 rom and have direct boost control set up via mrfred's patch, and also have my zeitronix 5bar map sensor setup with this rom using RoadSpike's values above. I would like to switch to the new 96539706 rom with the new tephra patch, which I believe is set up for the JDM 3bar already, based on the above comments.

Is it possible to use the 5bar scalings with this rom? I tried several definitions for the MAP scaling tables from this thread, which some seem to be close, but not correct , can some one post the correct MAP scaling values for the 96539706 rom, or has anyone running the 5bar set up the new Tephra Patch and could help me out?

As always, thanks for the help!

For the 96530006 family of ROMs, you don't need to adjust any map tables. All you need to do is log the sensor with the correct formula for voltage to psi.

Although, don't take my word completely, since I don't run ECU boost control. But I know for a fact that no map tables need to be adjusted to log boost with this ROM. I use the Omni 4-bar and just plugged it in and logged.

I haven't looked into the ECU boost control setup so I'm not 100% sure on that. But from what I have read and remember, I don't think you have to do anything for this particular ROM since it didn't come with a map sensor from the factory.

Correct. To log boost, no changes to this ROM are needed. To control boost using a MAP sensor, you'll need to make the direct boost control changes to this ROM. You'll need a MAP sensor scaling in ECUFlash that is correct for that sensor.

Just wondering, can the USDM Evo IX's run the jdm 3bar map sensor values on the stock 1bar map sensor? I know you can't log proper boost with the 1bar sensor but I'm just asking if the jdm map sensor values will interfere in any way or form.

Help: My ROM ID is 96420011, a derivadive of the 9462008 map I believe...

"EGR MAP Offset #1" should read:

750 97
1000 86
1250 75
1500 67
1750 52
2000 56
2500 65
3000 63
3500 60

And "EGR MAP Offset #2" should read:

750 97
1000 86
1250 84
1500 67
1750 52
2000 56
2500 65
3000 63
3500 60

Change *both* tables to:

750 84
1000 84
1250 73
1500 65
1750 60
2000 55
2500 48
3000 43
3500 23

Help: So I am having an issue logging boost over 20-21 psi. I have the Omni 4 bar, 3 port solenoid, and 18 LBS. WGA. No matter what I do to raise the boost, It still will not boost past 21psi. It feels stonger than my previous boost, but then I wonder if my sensor is misreading.

So that led me to check the scaling of the map sensor.

MFRED,

In your post above, the tables start @ 750 RPMS and rises to 3500...
Your fixed tables show:
750 84
1000 84
1250 73
1500 65
1750 60
2000 55
2500 48
3000 43
3500 23
My tables:
1500 84
1750 84
2000 73
2559 65
1364 60
2559 55
1373 48
35 43
Do you notice the issue? I think my sensor is trying to read from the wrong location. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I think I had a crappy xml.file. I reloaded the ECUflash, and scan software, never cleaned out the closet from when i tried to do it myself. Had some copied xmls from other people who had modded them for their cars, etc. Forgot I was utilizing the same folder for the current tune. I also realized that the naming convention of the xml files matters more than one might think. If you have two rom files for rom id 94620011 named xx11.xml and xx11.copy.xml, it will utilize both xmls. So I was seeing some crazy stuff in the rom files. So after the cleanup and reload, tested again, and still same issue. Might have a boost leak, I had it tested a couple of months ago, may need to do another. Ive got what I concider to be one of the Top 3 tuners in the world tuning for me, but we think we may have a leak issue, or sensor issue. I could use the help on the boost leak, shoot me a pm. I double checked all vacuum lines, and hose connections, she seems tight. Rechecked installation of 3 port solenoid as well as Omni 4 bar sensor. I could use the extra set of eyes.

I did not meen to hijack the thread, I do have a question for those of you who have utilized the OMNI 4 bar in this setup. I have mine, and I am sure the xml is correct, but I am not sure about EVOscan settings for it. I have them set to utilize the same settings as the JDM 3 bar sensor, and wonder if it is just reading wrong due to that in the logs...

If you have successfuly loged with EVOscan, will you post your settings? Do I need to utilize a 2byteLoad setting or something to get this sensor to log right?

Thanks again in advance.

Hey guys. I know I'm a little late to the party, but I have a question on logging boost with the 4 bar omni power map sensor in EVOScan. I found the atmospheric pressure of Kissimmee Florida to be about 14.77 at an elevation of 63ft. (1019mb = 1.019bar x 14.5 = 14.7755psi right?) However, while logging the JDMMap with the key in the "on" position I still get a reading that's off by -2.97. Now while using the formula 0.19347*x-11.8013, I get a reading of 0.0003... Am I missing something here that makes this formula work the way it should? Could my AVC-R and boost guage be misreading boost?

I use .238683-14.7 for the OMNI 4-bar.
