He's asking if he can perform the modification to the boost enhancement table as Evo Kid did and get the same effect. If you look at the quote he posted, Evo Kid did make both start and stop values 1500.

That is exactly what I am asking. The method in this thread is too involved when it can be done the way Evo_Kid suggested. I did it the way Evo_Kid suggested on my Evo 8. I am wondering if the same applies to the 9. Evo_Kid has a 9 and has done it that way, but I just want to make sure.

Yes, it can be done that way. Its not much more work to add the additional entries though.

Thanks mrfred!

I've updated the original post with the alternative method of disabling lean spool.

Seems to me that it would be a good idea for people to change the entry names to "Lean Spool Enable/Disable" so they remember what the entry is later on. I think this can be done in the table editing feature in ECUFlash where the address change is made.

I messed up my maps and need some help. I changed the anit lag settings from what they were to 1500 and 1500 trying to disable lean spool. Then as suggested above I renamed the map from what it was to Lean Spool Start and Lean Spool Stop. Now all maps not just the one I edited have Boost Enhancement and Antilag grayed out. When I click on them it tells me the map description is invalid or incomplete and I need to edit the description to fix the problem. I'm not sure how to do that. I'm not sure why this happens on all maps not just the one I edited. I went as far as to uninstall ECUFlash and used a CD copy of my hex file but the problem still exists.

Don't worry too much; there is nothing wrong with your ROM. The ECUFlash xml definition file for your ROM got messed up somehow. I am surprised that your reinstalled copy of ECUFlash did not fix the problem.

The original post has been updated to include instructions for version 13 and 14 ROMs for the Evo IX.

Thanks, mrfred!
