I wired my lm1 up hardwired into the car. I have the source under the steering column to a blue/white wire. The ground is to the frame portion under the steering wheel that holds the plastic pieces on. So far it works fine and reads the same as it did when connected directly to the battery.

I grounded my LC-1 to a bracket behind the glove box that I'd used to ground my Revlight. I did my first log today and it looks like it's working perfectly.

I grounded the free air calibration switch under the center console near the emergency brake if that matters ...

As noted in many other posts, I'm a noob at tuning and am basing this comment on a general knowledge of electrical systems.

EDIT: Here is a link to my stock dyno for an AFR reference if it helps. This was recorded with a tailpipe sniffer.
Huh...I didn't expect it to lean it out that much. Or for it to run very well at 12:1. Oh well, it's not the wierdest thing that has happened...

are you doing any logging? do you use logworks? its neat and all you need is ecuflash and your lc1 to make it work.

I just did some 3rd gear pulls with my LC-1 and got some pretty lean AFRs as well. I have NO intake mods at was getting about 11.6 to redline in 3rd. The only mods I have are exhaust manifold, O2 housing, and downpipe. I'm running stock boost as well. Your 12:1 seems correct compared to my numbers.

As a side note, on a 4th gear run I was at about 10.4:1 - 10.6:1 in the upper RPM range.

If you have grounding cables, would this make a ground on the chassis the same as grounding on the engine block? My grounding cables run from the neg. battery terminal to the engine and various points on the chassis.
