I dont disagree with you....
but what about subaru (perhaps suzuki as well).

even though it is off topic...
would ALS on a impreza need secondary air injection? Or is engine set up a certain way where it is not needed...??

Really dosnt matter lol

Newer Impreza use DBW, most of this is about Group N for homologation than Open (group A). DBW doesnt need it since it can be controlled via the ECU to allow the air bypass one way or another. I believe the Suzuki is DBW as well, the CWR4 or whatever?

Subaru WRC uses a rocket setup, basically a two stroke looking portion of hte collector with a secondary air solenoid attatched to a tube. www.subaruwrcspares.com look around you'll see what I mean. Then again, those models could have been drive by cable anyways. but they did use the same princeple at one point.

My current method of hardware-

The rest of it is playing with the ISCV tables and the negative timing/richen fueling.

Nothing is mounted to the throttle body. It bypasses and Y's into the brake booster line around the throttle body. The ISCV (idle motor) is all electronic control with no modifications. This works like a throttle kicker without the downsides.

Nice Aaron, my old Evo3 had this setup using an old Ford Falcon air bypass valve.
Had a rally guy setup the Autronic and it was nuts!

Burnt out exhaust valves quick smart though. lol

That was how I had my Subaru setup as well. I didnt have any issues with the valves as I had switched to the Inconel and kept it mild. E85 and antilag seem to get along since the EGT is inherently lower.

I came across something on the AEM forums: Max retard is associated with the ECU having up to a 90* timing swing.. So basically go get any thing more negative than the -17 that AEM would allow, you Zero the motor out at -30 and add 30 to any base values.. Is the stock computer able to be zeroed in some how? Prob a waste of time, but ive been searching.

hi jcsbanks recently purchased my first evo. its a 9 mr 360 by hks 2007 model. i have been reading about efi wideband tuning and post by nj112, merlin, touring bubble, mr fred and yourself. e i am interested in learning and acquiring the right equipment to achieve this. not confident to start out on my own and would appreciate some support. i understand time is money and from what i have read you are one of the best techs out there. as i am from england and most authors are from the u.s, presenting the vehicle to u for inspection seems the most probable option. i am developing a passion through reading and would like to see the application and gain the understanding to see my vehicle tuned properly. hope you can find time for me. the car has 11k miles and mit fsh. email me, funktion1@hotmail.co.uk
