I am using a Lind power adapter.

http://www.lindelectronics.com/cgi-b...detail_product

It is designed for my Dell Insperion B series Lap Top. Lind sells adapters for any laptop. They are a bit expensive, but they are designed for that specific laptop.

I have had zero problems with mine.

I also got this splitter since the Evo has only one power outlet

Just check it once in awhile.

I hear you on that one. I just thought it was a little on the "Ohh jeez" side when the inverter itself was so friggen hot it was damn lear like grabbing the cigarette lighter itself. It was literally to hot to touch, and damn near burned me...

The 400 watt inverter ($50) I bought at Northern Tool was powerful enough for:
- one 30 lb (old style) monitor
- one keyboard
- one 2000 dell PC
- with AC & radiator fans spinning

This was last year before I owned a laptop and was just itching to log.

I pulled over in a subdivision (Kings Grant for T Klemann) to setup for a log and a lady almost called the cops from all the equipment in the car

Just a caution: When Flashing the ECU just make sure that the power is sound and the battery is FULLY charged, else you will be searching ebay for an ECU

You can recover a failed flash on the Evo ECU, you need to use the Unlocker to recover it.. But it is a concern if you glitch the ECU.

I'm glad this thread was started. I haven't logged anything in a long time because my laptop is a POS and will shut off for no reason. Its a toshiba satellite so you might want to put that on your do not buy list. the thing is heavy *** hell and I'm looking for a replacement.
