Have there been any issues pulling codes with this mod? I have had a cel that has popped up and my code reader hasn't been working - i tried it on a friend's evo and it fired right up.

I have a request.... Is there anyway to make the car "ding or beep" when the cel comes on? Sometimes I don't notice the flashing till its too late. I get out of the gas and then see the cel flashing. It would be neat if we could get the car to provide an audio alert as well.

Question, the CEL illuminates per each grouping of knock sum you have selected right?
Say you have it set to '3' knock sum = flash. = 1 flash?
So if it flashes 3 times in succession you are actually at 9 knock sum?
I have never seen it flash less than 3 times. Which is why I ask. Every time it flashes it flashes exactly 3 times. It could mean the knock is leading into more knock. (common) But to always knock exactly 9 knock sum no matter what seems strange. I've always seen more variance even within the same tune on knock in the DSM. Sometimes 1* (3 knock sum) sometimes less, or 2* in the same place on a colder night, or up a hill... etc. Mostly it was NO knock in the DSM... the Evo's likes to knock randomly in stupid places. Likely due to tune.
But I'm wondering why any time I knock I get exactly 3 flashes. And I'm good at watching it since I've driven a DSMlink equipped car for years. My peripheral vision is always on that CEL. I have no problems even in the day seeing it.
Maybe the car likes to knock 3* every time? (never knocks at wot tho)
??? I guess I gotta log it while it flashes to be sure?

Nope
Just set the knock values to 1 each, decreased the load to 30% each, and flashed it as a trial. The knock and load parameters will soon be changed to where I think it should (like the original default you had on there) on the way home since it's mostly confirmed that everthings in check. So as for the manual linger thing - I'll just figure that out with a couple more drives and flashes.
I did notice the initial flash took about 40+ seconds to write the block up in high memory to the tables like 2 bytes did, but I'm sure the following flashes will be a flash just the same .
Thanks again!
