it gets old quick. At least i thought so. Weird disease...all episode of guess and check...figure out cure at climex...hugs all around.

I am interested to see what other patches you have up your sleeve.

I wouldn't say House is a "hugs all around" kind of guy, lol. I still can't believe he's European and has a STRONG accent. He can play an American VERY well....especially the arrogance lol. I'm a House man as well

I'm in no rush for theT2 map sensor patch, the season is prettyy much over for me now. Like the old saying goes "Take your time...but hurry up"

^^ haha obviously i meant it in the house sort of way.

Anyway, i know tephra is working on some tables for a more PID like boost control system. I am not sure how far out that is but could a TPS x BWGDC be implimented? We would only need 3-4 columns for TPS. 25%, 50% 75% 100% just to help with part throttle boost.

House rocks.

I have been a bit slack about the boost control stuff. I have done the PID code, but obviously tuning PID is an art in it self.

One day (hopefully soon) I will revisit it.

I have a trackday tomorrow at Phillip Island (we just had the Superbike World Champ round there) so I have been getting ready for that

yeah we may need to look to the suby tuners for some tips on PID boost control.

Good luck with the track day.

mrfred, can we use the definitions for 96420008 for 96420011?

bump. Now that tephra released the x11 v5.10 patch just wondering if ECU boost would be supported

Thanks

I've never looked at that ROM. Not sure when I'll have a chance. In the mean time, you can add the tables to the xml and have a look at what values they show in ECUFlash. In my how-to, I list the stock value for each setting that needs to be modified. If all the values in the 96420011 match what I list, then it should work.

yeah if i could get the JDM Map definitions to work i could probably try to align the addresses. I checked the 96420008 MAP tables and they dont line up.

I have a basic question perhaps, but I haven't found the answer in different threads yet,

I am still having boost taper at 7500-7800 rpm. I have turned 2 full turns my FP18psi WGA. That for sure increased boost across the range, did not seem to do much for the taper.

Should I: A) Increase preload some more. B) Use a pill in the WGA line. or C)?

Using load based control via Mac Valve until my map sensor is here. The WGDC follows almost exactly what I have set for alternate base wastegate duty, until 7500ish or so rpm at which point WGDC maxes (100%) and I still have taper. Any thoughts are much appreciated.

Side question: How am I able to get WGDC to show inside DLL? anyone have a complete xml file for that program? Thanks!

If your WGDC is at 100% that is all you are going to get. May need to check for a boost leak.

What are you tapering too for boost?

Dont have my map sensor yet. Did leak test, nothing there. Eye ball says from 27psi - taper to 24 or so psi.

So, more preload isnt going to help im guessing?

Your 2-byte load is 250 at 7800 rpm. I'm guessing the boost is close to 23 psi which is pretty good for 7800 rpm. Adding a restrictor pill in the WGA line will only slow the responsiveness of the boost control system. There are a few things that you can try that fall into category "C":

1) Ditch the stock airbox for a good cone filter setup. razorlab has found it makes a substantial improvement in high rpm power when going from the stock airbox to his GST cone filter.

2) Install an aftermarket O2 housing. I prefer the Titek as its very well made and there will be no boost creep issues with it.
