Tephra, something to control the timing and fuel while using the limiter would be awesome. I don't like the thought of messing with the main maps to try and achieve more boost off the line. The possibility of it ruining driveability doesn't excite me. But all your mods do!

if there is some way to set it up the way i had it set in my honda when it was turbo'd would be sweet. i ran a program called neptune. and it had seperate tables for the 2-step. also you didn't have to pick a certain rpm. you set it for a certain speed and throttle position. so <20mph tps >98%. this way you could rev it to whatever rpm you wanted to launch at, floor the gas and that sets your launch rpm.
i dunno if this is do-able but it was nice to have.

Whatever you do, don't link it to the upper clutch switch. On my DSM I have DSMlink and it uses the upper switch for NLTS and launch control. It has a menu to select the rpm, timing retard and speed. With 10 degrees of retard and the speed set at 6 mph it would built about 20 psi (at 4500 rpm on a 35R) then fall flat on its face as soon as I launched it because it took too long to come all the way off the pedal. I am going to play with it more and drop the speed down to 2 mph. It would chirp the tires big time, then bog badly.
I like how the Evo is not linked to the clutch switch at all, it should remain that way as this will allow you to take your time slipping your clutch. With the DSMlink the timing retard and fuel addition only occur at the set launch rpm so there is no need for an entire table. You pretty much just want it to build boost while you are sitting still and the second the car starts to move you want to switch over to your regularly scheduled program.

Well, we can currently control timing and fuel for the stationary limiter in the stock tables. This method doesn't generally get in the way of normal tuning, but there is the chance that you could hit those cells during normal driving. Having separate timing and fuel values for launch control would be ideal.
a separate map would be neat

if it just held an RPM there wouldn't be any load on the engine and thus no boost though
can't have it both ways and beside it's not hurting anything using the 2 step
