I am with evoryder on this one, set vallet to like 500 or 300 rpm, to prevent the car from starting period. That would be a pretty cool theft prevention method.

Tephra, Ok Last thing from me. I see that you updated your original post with all the patched roms today. If we did this yesterday or the day before do we need to redo it? I am using the 15. I just wanted to know if I needed to redo it? If so its cool. Small price to pay for a great feature.
And in theory with the no lift shift when the rpms drop to your set amount how long will they stay there? Until the clutch is released?

the rpms will stay dropped as long as the clutch is press, and the throttle % and mph is above what you set it to. if that makes sense all three have to match up to engage it.

on the new 96940011 ROM, if you have Vallet mode enabled your CEL keeps on flashing no matter what ( i think it dosent even stop unless its a ridiculous amount of time) . Once you disable it it stops flashing and CEL knock and NLTS work perfectly. ( so vallet is the only thing that keeps the CEL flashing the entire time with vallet mode turned off or on) Oh and setting your vallet mode to 300 rpms would be a perfect theft prevention method, it just kills the vehicle instantly its awesome
#300
yep when in valet mode the CEL will just flash forever...
by design to warn you that you are in valet mode...
it _shouldn't_ flash when you are NOT in valet mode.
no problems with setting the valet mode to 300 or whatever either, thats what im going to do as we have had a lot of theives stealing evo's in our area
