So, rather than revving to 7000 RPM, then having an offset applied to current RPM for target shift RPM, you'd have an ideal target shift RPM set statically, so that no matter where you shifted, you'd get a consistent mid-shift RPM. Handy for the occasional freeway pull where you'd like to build a bit of boost before accelerating.
I used DSMLink NLTS as well, but actually I like the dynamic NLTS rev limit a bit better. I like it better because with a static limit, then you have to shift at the same RPM to get it to work well...if that makes sense. With a dynamic NLTS limit you can vary your shifting RPM and always have the same drop from that RPM that you are shifting at.

Yes, you just have to make sure that your TPS threshold is high enough and you don't go past that threshold to blip the throttle for a downshift. A setting like 95% or somewhere around there shouldn't be an issue, unless you're flooring the throttle to rev match for the down-shift.

I actually like the TPS threshold compared to DSMLink, because with DSMLink the NLTS was active all the time and you could hit it shifting during normal driving if you went over the static NLTS limit. It was a bit of a pain, jerking around when you didn't want it to happen. Having a TPS threshold eliminates this to an extent.

*nod* I started off at the default 70%, which completely threw me. I have it at 90%, and it's less of an issue now, but I still trip it every so often. I'll give 95% a try and see if that works out better.

Can anyone tell me which pin on the ecu the clutch switch is wired into please.

I need to somehow mount a switch on the clutch of my Evo 6, and connect it into the evo 7 ecu.

When you hold the gas pedal down to activate it, the CEL blinks really fast when its activated. Just keep holding your foot to the floor for an additional amount of seconds (whatever you set the activation timer for...mine is 5000ms). So, whenever you deactivate it, the CEL goes out

Any suggestions? I would like to not have to load an old ROM everytime I want to log..

Anyone else ave any input on this?

I believe I am still using EVOScan v.99.... (I think)

What error message do you guys get with EVOSCAN now? Copy/paste it here.

I don't get any error messages, it does log, but all of my variables jump around something wierd. After it being connected, the car starts doing really funky things, as mentioned once by I thing Eric (l2r99gst) that it might be sending things to the ECU to run checks or something...

I am lost on this one, as it does it on my car, as well as a friends.

mine did that as well... i had to uninstall evoscan and remove it from the registry and then reinstall it... also, do you have ecuflash and evoscan open at the same time ? maybe you have some sort of conflict with both programs and the cable ? not likely, but a thought.

I have tried uninstalling it, and reinstalling it, but did not remove it from the registry though.

I am very disiplined about not having ECUFlash and Evoscan open at the same time due to some conflicts int he past.

Maybe tonight I will try to do the complete uninstall/reinstall.

I wonder what tephra's going to come up with next?

Let him rest some, then we bombard him with donations to get him motivated.

96940011-
knocklight -works
NLTS- does not work, clutch switch input does not matter, TPS threshold alone triggers fuel cut.
Valet mode- works
