on the instructional it says to copy fuel, timing, boost etc. maps to tephra's map set up, why can't you just copy the limits over to your exsisting map after the NTLS upgarde. much faster than copying the maps and less chance of making mistake. does anyone know?

Because the ROM Tephra supplies is specifically designed to work with his mod. Trust us, copying over the other parameters is the best way to go. If you feel adventurous, try it and see if you can do it the other way.

Do you honestly think the guy who went through all of the trouble to create these mods from scratch would have missed that? lol. Trust Tephra, he knows what he's doing

I actually found the opposite to be true Jaime. The fixed limiter in DSMlink and AEM at 6000 rpm was more gentle than the RPM drop set tp anything below 1500. At 1500 it's about the same, but it seems to take longer to recover after a shift. I have to experiement with values between about 1300 and 1500 though.

Well I use 1500 and found that to be the best transition for me so I really can't chime in about other settings I guess.

What you see in Ecuflash are not the routines that tephra is adding - you just see some basic parameters. So just putting/editing/copying the parameters into your ROM (which doesnot have the routines programmed) will not help - in the worst case you might screw up some program flow in your existing ROM.

yup 93660005 is on the way - just need time.

Kevin - have you tried setting the RPM drop to 0? then it will be limited @ the RPM you shift at... (thats the theory anyways)

I haven't tried it, but I think I will just to see what happens. I'm sure it will be too high though, since 1000 was. I was also surprised by how much of an effect the rpm change made even though I shifted fast enough in all cases to not even hit the actual "limiter"... I didn't have time to really look at the logs though. Typically I would set a NLTS limiter for 6000 and never mess with it again, so I never looked to much into it.

I have mine set to 0, but I shift pretty quick. 1st to 2nd is a harsh shift, but I only hit the limiter once per shift.

We need to start an EcuFlash "DSMLink support group," I think. Old habits die hard.

LMAO, it probably wouldn't hurt. I probably sound like a broken record with all my DSMlink BS.

Hardly BS in comparison to learning curve. I'm right there with you partner. DSMLink made me a lazy tuner. Its just too easy.

I kept forcing myself to read about ecuflash, and then use it. One thing a week I learn, use, until I'm proficient with it. Its been slow, but I'm starting to dig it.
