I read many different thinks about it in this thread.
NLTS is a acronym for "No Lift To Shift". Basically, it allows you to shift without taking your foot off the gas, by dynamically changing the rev limit to an offset of the RPM you shifted at. The benefits are that you remain in boost during the shift, you can shift at a much faster rate, and (when set up correctly) can ease the stress of shifting on the drivetrain somewhat.

Does that explain it? I believe a video was posted at some point in this forum that gave a visual idea of what this is all about, if the descriptions aren't coming across well.

Is it possible to get 2 byte load with this modified rom? I noticed it hasn't been mentioned yet. Is there a really simple fix that everyone did or no one cares to log 2 byte load?

The fix is relativelly easy - you just need to state you ROM ID and maybe someone will tell you the address in ROM that you need to change: you need two addresses and two numbers that you put into them. Thats it.

How do I know which Rom to use? There are so many, I want to make sure I use the proper one.

You should use the ROM with the same ID as you have when you download your ROM for your ECU into ECUFLASH. If you haven't done this yet - I suggest you to step back, try the basic stuff (reading ROM, understand a little bit what is there) and then try to play with these patches.
Otherwise - there is a big chance that you screw up something.

ive got a question.... is there any problems with flashing a car with a different rom ? for instance, my rom is the 88590015, a guy i tuned the other day was a 88590014.... i flashed him with my base flash which is built from my rom, (the 0015). His car ran fine afterwards, made some great power on the dyno and didnt appear to have any problems.... The guy called me the following day and could barely talk after the night and day difference the tune made. Just want to know if anyone has experienced any adverse effects from doing this ? Speculation isnt going to help here though.... thanks guys

You can cross over on some ROM IDs sometimes. I have no idea what limits one from the other, but you'll know if you've crossed that line because something won't work properly or ecuflash values will look all screwy.

id think that as long as it was a IX to IX or VIII to VIII it wouldnt matter.... i think i have done this on more then one occasion now. I also have a few baseflashes from some vendors and they dont change maps, they change immobilizer codes and just flash..... so hopefully there arent any issues. Good thing i save base maps lol

I have flashed 2 ecu's one was 96530006 and the other was 96420008 with the earlier 93660005 both cars ran perfect no issues and are still running perfect now for 3 months,

I am curious - I have 96530006 - why have you choosen to put 93660005 there - any particular reason? Have you got the 2byte load working on 9366.....?
