during cold wheater the density of the air is different. So fuel needs to be adjusted accordingly. Same for the barometer map, different altitudes will effect air and fuel needs to be adjusted.

I might do that when I get some time ...
I noticed while logging some 1/4 runs last weekend that my timing was off from the map by up to 2* in places. After the temp come adjustments that doesn't seem to happen as much ... 1* here or there. I assumed it was related. Perhaps my timing sway is an isolated issue.

C6, logically Lemmon's suggestion makes perfect sense. If you look at the table, the values are higher for colder temps. So, logically, if the weather is the only changing factor and knock is seen where is wasn't before, increasing the values for lower temps makes perfect sense. It doesn't really matter what the values do as long as we know what that the table compensates for weather.
Personally, i would LOVE to know exactly what that table does and I've brought it up before on this forum and on Aktive Matrix. No one has really bothered to answer.
Knowing exactly what the table does would be super helpful and maybe even allow us to tune the maps to work better along side the temp comp table. But, for now, logic will have to do.

maybe in the map the units are the number times 10^-2.
so if the map if it says 59 units, mabye the fuel is adjusted 0.59 a/f ratio.
so if you had 11.5 in the map it would be decreased to 10.91.
but who knows.

My assumption is that it offsets something to do with airflow values ... for instance, +59 hz to the metered AF hz value. This would make the ECU compensate with more fuel. But, with only a difference of ~12 hz between 95º and 65º it wouldn't make much of a difference. It would have to be offsetting another value or apply some type of multiplier that we don't know about.
Isn't there a way to figure this out by dissecting the ROM like people have done with other tables?
