Same here with v1.30 and above...

[10:27:54.085] Using interface OpenPort 1.3 Mitsubishi TX14oxxTc28ff6c900000000000000000000000000000000 [10:27:54.085] interface close
[10:27:54.093] unable to connect to vehicle interface.
[10:27:54.093] interface close

and now 1.29a wont open up at all....it shows an error screen...

I have tried uninstalling all the version of EcuFlash, uninstall the drivers, i even cleaned up the registry....nothing....

I am at a loss...

So does this mean that i have to purchase a new cable in order for EcuFlash v1.30+ to work for me?

The parse error indicates that ECUFlash can't read the xml definition file for your ROM. Make sure you have the v1.29 xml definitions installed.

Is this happening when the program opens? Or does it happen after you try to open a specific rom? I am guessing its the latter and if so then you have to manually go to the rom folder and change the xml files there. The folder should be:

C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi

Or something to that affect. You'd do this from explorer, not from ECUFlash.

Yep. It can happen that way. Have you deleted the ECUFlash folder after uninstalling it?

Yep, has to do with the xml definition file. It has an error in it.

what do you mean when you say you need a new wire when you upgrade, is that correct? I'm trying to get into it and I want to be sure I got the right stuff. Can you provide me with helpful links?

thx

I've finally finished setting up my (new for me) used laptop I got off ebay. It's a Dell D400 with a clean install of win XP pro sp2.

ECU flash 1.34 works flawlessly reading and writing without having to change directories. There is a definite bug in the upgrade proces which looses the path to the read xml directories.

Both LW2 and LW3b2 work with openport 1.3 plugin.
EvoScan 2.0 with maptracer reads xmls and roms that came with the program, and does not time out during long datalogs. The MTS (innovate chain) still does not work and causes it to time out and eventually crash.

Thanks, what bid did you win that laptop with if you don't mind me asking? I'm about ready for a brand new used ebay laptop myself. Regarding LW, looks like the LW3 project will soon be reimplemented now that they have time for it. Who knows, perhaps the MTS chain will work on it.

$345 +18 shipping(<<answered from my blackjack)

Edit: Good to know about LW3... the specs on the laptop are: 1.7Ghz pentium M, 512MB ram, 40gHDD, Bluetooth, WIFI and under 3lbs. I was amazed at the great condition it was in for being 3 yrs old.
