Peak load at this level of boost is 240. I traced it and marked the cells so you could see what timing does it run.
This is your new map? What surprise me is that it run as high as 10* at 5500RPM, and as low as 12* at 7000RPM. Surely the BBK hold some solid boost and maybe this is the cause, and of course every car is different ...

Not that is another car with my tune. Boost is to high for that car at 6000+ RPM. I am going to lower it as far as it doesnt make more power.

As for my own car, the next tune will be as soon as I get my 73hta Green.

I am going to try water injection on that car in a few days. If I get any interesting results I will post the map.

3" TBE
stock evo8 intake pipe.
2.5" UICP & LICP
1g crushed BOV
evo8 injectors and fpr
walbro 255 pump
hallman MBC
aem wideband

so its kinda like a stock evo8 turbo setup.

here's my most recent maps
peak load is 289 at 4250rpm... kind of high??
at 6250 is at 220 load.
let me know what you guys think.
Maybe you'd have more luck in the DSM forums with a special setup like this?
This map looks nice, not messy at all. The tuning techniques in the merlin pdf and TB post are your guide, but more specific info would be on dsmtalk or dsmtuners ...good luck

Evo 8 . stock 9 turbo, ID1000 injectors, HKS264 cams. Hits 23psi at 245-ish load, tapering to 21psi at ~220 load.. RON98. The car was pretty fickle, not really knock prone, but did not like much timing either, but responsed good to boost increase. Finished the tune at 420hp 520nm.

8-9* at 5500 and 10-11* at 7000. Either timing is too agressive at 5500, or not enough agressive at 7000rpm for this fuel. If it has no knock at 5500rpm, maybe you could be much more agressive on the top end. It would make more sense than a flat timing. Did you try higher timing at high end?

Evo 9, 2,3L, T3 turbo kit (unknown, but looks similar to old HKS kits) some GT30~ish size turbo, GSC S2 cams, ID1000 injectors, short route piping, upgraded fmic, 3" titanium exhaust, external wastegate dump. "Winter" tune . 490hp 550nm @ solid 21 psi.

All the maps that I post are fully tuned, no knock, maps. I would go much more agressive if I could.

IIRC This particular car has some kind of 3" quite exhaust with several bottlenecks, similar to HKS Hi Power Silent. That may be the reason of lower timing up top.

^^I just hope no one will daily drive theses peak torque timings on stock rods with crappy fuel. (anyway these people shouldn't have a tactrix cable in their hands )

Copy-pasting somebody's map was never a good idea... ))

Hope people, reading this thread understand that all the maps are just examples of particular setups. Ignition timing depends on many factors. Sometimes two similar setups like different timing to archieve the same level of power.

Anyway the maps I post are the cars that are daily driven.

Thanks domyz, The motor is closer to the evo8 that it is to a dsm 4g63.. so thats why I decided to share my setup here. when I turn up the the boost I'll be just shy of what the stock 8s are running for boost. Ill try and keep peak boost at 18psi and see if I can hit 320hp. my goal right now it to keep the torque down as the stock tranny can't handle over 350..

this car is a blast to drive and so far no knock. gonna switch to SD soon :P

I know that copying map isn't a good idea, and because the discussion we have won't lead anywhere I'll stop it. Post whatever you want

Yes it spins really fast! I was surprised very much, as on 2.0l full boost was about 800rpm later.
