Let's see your fully tuned timing maps
#2687
so we tuned the car on the dyno, on e100, but it seemed to stop making power at the following timing/rpm:
6500rpm 12*
7000rpm 13*
7500rpm 14*
8000rpm 15*
8500rpm 15*
boost: 42psi
turbo fp super 94
engine 2.2L
I don't trust the dyno as it's not properly ventilated. Timing seems a bit low to have reached MBT
any opinions?

Thank you for the inputs.
We are on stock ECU.
The thing is I'm not sure about the dyno consistency, that's why i'm looking for input from people with similar setups or that have experience with tuning at such boost/power levels
Tks

Things that will throw off your base timing; cut cylinder head, different head gasket thickness, some aftermarket cams, changing your exhaust cam timing. It's usually never perfect. Doesn't seem to far off, why were you expecting to get more timing out of it? If your worried about the repeatability of the dyno, do several pulls but let the engine cool down in between pulls. Not necessarily funky just may seem low or high from the norm.

A friend gave me this map to use as a starting point from another car he tuned with similar setup. I have not done too much of anything to it yet. I am seeing 8* peak at 7000rpm.
Evo 8 with Borg warner s363, HKS 280's, stock bottom end. 31 psi (Thinking about turning it down to 29-30)
No knock at all.
VD DJ numbers are 498/390.
If anyone spots something I should change in the map and can point me in the right direction that would be helpful.

I've since turned the boost down slightly, right now it is around 30.5psi at 7000. Previously it was around 31.7-31.8 at that same rpm. I know that is Not much of a difference but it does make me feel just a little safer. 😄 My VD numbers are 490whp now, I was hoping I could make up for that in adding a little more timing up top, however I cannot seem to get timing above 9 degrees, regardless of what I try to add. Not that it knocks, it just will not advance anymore at all. Looking closer at my timing map the car seems like it is taking the path of the 340-350 load timing column but I have not verified that yet. Evoscan is showing me 315-320 peak load.
I have a thread in the Evo tuning dyno results section if you care to take a look so that I don't clutter this thread.
