You also just timing pretty bad in the mid range, the circle is a 7 degree jump in 3 cells.
A load line would help see where you are and what timing you are actually hitting, 20 up top is about as far as I would go on an E85 IX provided the AFR is good, and I wouldn't stay there long.

I hadn't caught that 7 deg jump somehow & ill clean up the load areas i don't hit some more. I barely touch on 18 for a second up top & I'm right around 7.8 - 8.0 E85 AFR (11.7 - 12 Gas AFR).
I'm glad to see I'm not way too high or way to low, looks like the main thing i should focus on is smoothing out a couple areas? When I was playing with the map I was aiming for that hit box of (6) 2* cells @ 3250-3500 RPM between 270-290 load.
I've attached the evoscan tracer here for both timing & AFR to see my trail a bit more clearly.

A little bit of power left on the table, but nothing I would be concerned with trying to wring out.
I'd just clean up some of the transitions on the map, and call it a day.

You should be 0* around 3500. 10* at 6000, and 17ish at 8000. If you're only Revving to 7600 it should def only hit 17 max.
You have too much timing at 5000

The stock 8/9 turbo does taper a bit but I still wouldn’t get caught up and trying to win the game with a high timing number . Unless it’s on the Dyno and you can back to back run it and see what the difference is. You want to be able to measure exactly what each degree nets you. When you find the number you can back it off a bit then work back up to it On a few runs on the street /track. Give yourself room for a hotter day , or three people , less ethanol etc.
I would simplify the timing map with 500 rpm increments to prevent you from getting carried away.
Timing doesn’t change too much from pump gas to ethanol for what most people run for boost. These engines prefer low timing /high boost .
For a run of the mill Evo 9 turbo on e85 making 26+ psi 400whp I would suggest the following as a starting point.
I’d set the timing to 11-13 at 7500 and work my way back to 0-3 at 3500. 4-6 around 5500.
These engines don’t need a lot of timing on stock frame /high back pressure turbos.
I wouldn’t try to find the timing limit with virtual Dyno.
11.5-11.8 afr is a good place to start for e85.
11.0-11.4 for pump gas.
I would simplify the timing map with 500 rpm increments to prevent you from getting carried away.

Hi all, long time lurker just getting into tuning and any feedback would be awesome. This thread has been great.
Just pulled the map off my evo 6 on the weekend. It came tuned already, but looking at the map seems a bit aggressive timing wise up top compared to my old evo8 and what I'm seeing here. I'm also seeing some knock in the logs up in the 200 load area around 4000-5500rpm which kind of gels with my feeling timing is a bit aggressive.
Any thoughts or feedback? I haven't touched the map on this car yet.
Its an evo 6 so 10.5 hotside, it's running basic bolts ons (turbo back exhaust, fuel pump, enclosed pod filter).
Fuel is Australian 98 RON (93 USA)

There are some good points a couple posts up. You may take that advice and back it down.
To start, I'd almost take 5 degrees out of the entire positive pressure side of the map. Maybe more.

Smoothened it a little.
Now one thing that has been bugging me is a weird timing pull between gear changes. When I'm stabbing the throttle timing goes to negative values, even though I don't have any negative values in the map.
