You should be able to add more timing at lower rpms (3k-4k range). You also might want to rescale your load- pretty sure you're hitting over 260 load. I'm hitting over 320 with my setup.

Have you had a chance to dyno since you started tweaking your timing maps? Just wondering if my maps I sent you helped at all.

Your maps helped me out a lot. I actually dynoed it before I really started to perfect them and the results were pretty good. I got 400hp/tq before with the rough map. With the maps I'm running now, the power band is increased by quite a bit. My car would spike and fall off within a 1000 rpms. Now it pulls strong from 3500 to 7000. It may not make as much peak torque but definitely more power. I also turned the boost down from 29 to 26 in order to run more timing and save the turbo from getting pushed to hard. Creamo3- thank you very much for the help. your maps gave me insight on how to smooth better and make better transitions.

After much much searching I was finally able to pickup a tactrix cable (1.3) When I bought the car it had been previously tuned (dynoflash maybe?) and I have been anxious to make sure there wasn't anything incredibly out of wack with the tune.

Here is what my viii has, anything look odd? I've read that running 7s in the 0-1000/0-30 will help fix some of the lumpy idle issues with cams?

Once I get my ix turbo/manifold/wideband on this week and I'll probably have mellon fix me up, just dont want to kill my engine when I start logging pulls.

Holy knock! Definitely needs some work. That's a dangerous tune. I would take it easy until you get that fixed.

lan_evo_mr9: If you don't mind asking, what wga are you using?? how are you controlling boost (mbc?)? how are you hitting 320 load with 26 psi, are you sure you don't have any leak??

Tks

Rescaled MAF scaling can affect it, also boost leaks.

Darwin- I am using a buschur MBC, "crushed" BOV, spring wastegate mod. I don't hit 320 every time- it's just the max that I've seen, so I rescaled my maps to compensate for such a load just in case. Definitely no boost leaks- I'm a VW master tech and have seen my fair share of boost leaks on various VW's. I have seen what a boost leak will do to fuel trims, how it sounds, feels, etc. I'm able to hold 23-24 up top with no issues with those boost mods. There is no way I could hit or maintain those levels without the stuff I've done to it. I want to convert to ECU direct boost control- but don't have the funds for the parts I need right now.

by funds you mean...$30? lol

Get it from Rock Auto (http://www.rockauto.com)
GM 3 port: 12.69. AC Delco part number 214-474.
GM pigtails for 15.64. AC Delco part number PT 374.

GM boost solenoid, GM Part # 1997152
Pigtails, GM Part # 12102747

EDIT: NVM, apparently rock Auto wants to rape people for over $50 for just the sensor now. People are rediculous with their pricing increases these days. AMAZON.com has both parts for $55

They stopped producing the part and prices shot up (or so they say). Right now amazon for the BCS is the best deal and if you are ordering one buying the pig tail separate is cheaper (check my other posts for the seller/price for the metripack connector).

I don't understand - a MBC is still going to cost more even at $60 max?
