Can you guys comment on the general shape of my map? That is something I have been focusing on to try to understand necessary timing changes even though it does run alright .

Not info towards your question but you have cams right?

I've been trying to understand what effect cans have on the timing map. And I guess it is that it will require less timing?

Yes hks 272s. I started pulling timing in the medium load ranges, and I'm getting some bad spikes of knock on lift . Don't understand what caused the lift knock, I'm not speaking lean. And that timing works when accelerating

This one works significantly better. Im really getting suprised how little timing this really does take.

still taking my time tuning the fuel tables aswell. Im having a hard time to get them above 11 lol..

why are you running so rich and such little timing at peak torque? youve got quite a bit of power left with a more aggressive tune for sure. PM me if you would like a little more help on the tune

I'd say your running so little timing its pre-igniting like crazy. You need to up the timing pretty significantly.

No reason for the car to see any negative timing under boost IMO, that timing map definitely needs quite a bit of work. Fueling as well, Your AFR is in the 10's at only 5psi when it should be in the high 12's.

Which map is best

Hey guys, I spent a lot of time the other night working on smoothing my map and just wanted to get your input. I don't think the map was terrible to start with but I just don't like the way it looks in the graph. I haven't tried the new, smoothed maps out yet but personally I think they look a little too aggressive. What do you guys think? Which one do you think will make the best power?

Looks a little aggressive around peak load/peak torque.

I was thinking the same thing for stock block & 93 oct. but if the car takes it more power to him, haha. Maybe do a boost leak test just to make sure its not taking that much timing due to a boost leak?

Just had a boost leak test done a few months ago so that shouldn't be an issue. In the map that was smoothed by hand I left Peak timing alone and tried to work out from there. I frequently hit 6*-7* in my logs without any issues. I think that's a combination of the Spoolin Up COP and the Iridium plugs doing their job. The only place I ever get any counts of knock on the current map is over 7000 and I think I'm going to try lowering boost up top to fix that.

Now that I look at it, the map that I used Interpolation on is probably too aggressive in the Peak timing areas.

I'm eager to get out there and try these maps out and see what happens but unfortunately I probably won't be able to try them out until Friday.
