engine load question

Ive been logging my car and tuning for some time now and I suppose I never thought to ask this question before,
why is there such a big difference between my load calculated and 2 byte load,
my last logging run my car hit 230 load calculated at 19.2 psi but the 2 byte was 209 load,
I was lead to believe that load is almost relative to manifold pressure so why is the 2 byte so low???
I am attaching the log

My 2-byte normally shows up about 10 higher than the calculated.

The main difference is that 2byte load is what the ecu sees, and calc. load is just a guess.

There are various load variables that the ECU uses and quite a few threads about it lately. Also, I have made recent threads about mass airflow, boost estimate, and load.

Load can appear to be proportional to boost, but load is really proportional to a mass airflow/rev, which means that baro and temperature are involved. One boost pressure can produce varying loads depending on baro and intake temperature.

Yes, I am seeing such a difference (on my 96530006) as well (red is MAP, blue belov is Load Calculated and the other blue with the spike - is 2byte load) - had some thoughts with John on other thread on it.

So, w/o 2-byte load, when logging "Load" (w/ mitsulogger for example), the load value that is recorded via the data logger is not equal to the load % in your Timing/Fuel image?

And even w/ the 2-byte load addin, what's recorded is still not equal to the load%?

i am wondering the same thing because sometimes 2byte is way below and other times its quite a bit higher

Just use 2byte. Dont even worry about what calc. load says.

read the rest of the thread as well to make sense of baro+temp

in logs the loadcalc is matched with the timing squares in ecuflash unlike 2byte load. how do i go about changing values then? in logs lets say the value in 240 column is 2 in the timing map and 2byte says 200 and in the 200 column the timing value is 10. still go by 2byte load?
