I'm starting to learn the ECUFlash and to tell you the truth some of those acronyms are killing me because I don't know what they mean. So I decided to create a new topic where we can put all of them in alphabetical order so the next person simply by clicking this topic could find the meaning right away without asking. If database would grow maybe at one point we could make a stiky out of it. Lets only stick to subject related to the ECUFlash and EvoScan and whatever is necessary. So plese guys start putting all the acronyms/abbreviations and the explanation and I will try to organize them in the very first post.

BDEL = Boost Desired Engine Load ... the value in ECUFlash that determines desired load/boost levels.
WGDC = Wastegate Duty Cycle ... percentage value that tells you the duty cycle of the boost control solenoid. Sometimes BWGDC or baseline wastegate duty cycle in reference to the WGDC map values.
TBEC = Turbo Boost Error Correction. This table offsets the BWGDC values in order to reach target boost/load. BWGDC +/- TBEC = actual WGDC.

This is an interesting one. The best way to approach this would be to learn about xml in general which is a separate topic for another forum . The super simplification is that the xmls just tell ECUFlash which part of the rom to look into for specific values and how best to show them for display to the user.

A brief explanation of xml's:
Located here (Generally Speaking):
C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi
... are the xml's for your specific car broken down by your ECU ROM ID number. For example, my car, a 2005 VIII has an ECU internal ID of 96940011. So, whenever someone find a table available to us in ECUFlash, I insert the code into the 96940011 code because it matches my ECU Internal ID. If yo uhave say an early 06 IX, your ECU internal ID might be 88590013.
Another example:
Mr. Fred released his ECU Direct Boost control, and I want to put it into my car (The 05 VIII), here ishow I did it:
1. Copy the lines of code from the thread he created specifically for the 05 96940011 ROM.
2. Insert it into the 96940011 xml located here (Generally speaking)
C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo
and insert the lines of code just before the last <rom> int he code. (I open the 96940011.xml using notepad)
3. Close the xml after you have inserted the code, and re-open your ROM.
4. You should see the new tables listed in your ROM.
5. Sometimes the code can be inserted into the evo7base.xml if you want to have the tables displayed in all Evo 8 ROM codes. (I know it says evo7base, but it will apply to the Evo 7's ROM codes as well as the Evo 8 codes. They are esentially the same ECU's, just different ID's) Same applies for the Evo 9's.
Damit, I really wanted to finish this, but work is calling right now.. Argh!

guys even if you know any of the abbreviations and they are not here and nobody asked for it please put them in, if you can provide an explanation like TouringBubble did in his post #2 that is even better. Some of them will not need explanation but some of them will.
