idle RPM - neutral
Since I put the stage 5 on the car, I am now seeing rpm drop when coming from higher gears coming to stops, or when sitting in stop n go traffic, my rpm's drop down below 500rpm...and almost stall. I have to pump the throttle to keep the car running.
I found this table on the map called "idle RPM - neutral". I was thinking of bumping it up to 800 or 900 RPM in the higher engine temps. The car does not do this when it is cold.
temp engine rpm
-32 1992
-8 1734
7 1445
20 1289
34 1133
50 742
77 508
82 508
* temp in celsius
I was thinking of changine 50, 77, and 82 to higher RPM's...around 900
any harm in doing this? should fix the problem?

If your rom is the 88590015 IX rom there is a table conflict for the idle rpm, you need to add this in your xml to make the proper adjustment to that area.
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=328101
You will also want to probably make adjustment to the "idle rpm - drive" as well.

thanks for the information. I made the adjustments on the idle -neutral and idle-drive. I will test that and see how it reacts.
I will reflash it again tomorrow with the other suggestions you made for the other table values. Too late tonight to mess with it....

Also check your fuel trims. Most idle problems I have seen are because of badly scaled aftermarket injectors.
Those table you mentioned is defined wrong in Evo 9 roms, you need to use this definition to get the actual table that changes the idle RPM:
<table name="Actual Desired Idle RPM" category="Idle" address="3d24" type="2D" scaling="RPM8">
<table name="Engine Temp" address="70c2" type="Y Axis" elements="8" scaling="Temp"/>
</table>
which will show this as the actual rpm values:
1796.88
1398.44
1398.44
1398.44
1398.44
1250
796.875
796.875
the last two (796) being the ones you want to edit to raise or lower your idle rpm.

I have mine set around 850. The only dips I get are due to my bov being vented. But usually only sag to 550/600 rpm and sits tight around 850. If you've recently installed parts, check your work with a boost leak test. Make sure the excessive rpm sag isn't due to a small leak somewhere if it wasn't doing it before.
On a side note, I think I spoke with you at PRP last year. In fact it had to be you, I don't know too many Red MR owners with a 5 speed swap. I know one. You.

Wait so making changes to the Desired ISCV Initial AC off-Drive and AC on-Neutral won't do anything on a IX?
Do I add that code you mentioned razorlab and make changes in addition to the ones to the Desired ISCV or do I leave the Desired ISCV alone entirely?

That works for me. Do you do this in addition to making the adjustments in the idle portion of the ignition map as well? The 0-1000rpm and 0-40 Load column being bumped to 7* is what I'm referring to. I'm assuming adjusting the idle timing and making the changes to the columns you've suggested must make the Evo idle significantly better.
Also you said to make changes to the last 2 rpm values, the 796.875, what do you recommend it be changed to? Is it dependent on the mods or is there a specific number?

I've run 9* at idle before. Be careful with too much advance at idle or you could get a misfire code.
Depends on car and mods.

I just checked my map after adding the definition and it seems my idle has been raised to 898 in the two areas you suggested to change it razorlab. I guess I'll leave it be then
