88590013, 14, and 15 all work for USDM IXs from what I've found ... I agree that it would be a good move to go ahead and update everyones ROMs and only patch the newest ROM for the model.

Is there a list anywhere of the ROM compatibility?

I cant set it 0 only can set it higher than 30. its like the minus(only can go up with speed number no down) doesnt work.

ok i it worked on test mode!
but still it does not work on high load!!! I have a log for 1 gear change RPMS stays in same place where i press the clutch

In most cases, you simply DL the new ROM version, copy over your immobilizer code and flash. Of course, you need to copy over any modified tables as well.

The only odd ball is switching from the USDM '05 ROM to the EDM '05 ROM which requires disabling the immobilizer.

I recently upgraded a 94170008 to a 94170015 and had no issues. I added the JDM MAP, direct boost control, MUT table, Tephra mods, lean spool, etc to it as well and all work fine so far. That's the hardest part of upgrading the ROM after it's tuned ... some of these tables you've modified/added may keep the car from running properly if you forget one. I know that my car won't run at all on the stock ROM anymore because of the MAP/direct boost control tables.

when upgrading you should ONLY copy tables that you changed from stock.

ie if you accelerator enrichment table LOOKS different BUT you did NOT change it then DONT change it in the new version.

94170014 - V5.1

I tested this mod on a 94170008 - 2003 Evo last night, and it would not start after ALT map was engaged.
Car started fine with initial flash, and 2 subsequent starts. Also, would not start after disengaging the ALT map. NLTS, Valet worked just fine tho.

Re-flashed back to 94170008 and the car started just fine.

...Just reporting what happened to me. Im going to be trying the 94170015 - V5.1 next and see what happens.

(im guessing this has to do with the immobilizer... any help?)


p.s. Ive been running the 88590015 V5 for 15k miles now, everything works just fine (except the NLTS bug w/ load)

altmap by autoics or adc0f?

what happens if you start on normal maps then switch to altmaps? (just idling)

I suspect your injector scaling is whack... ive had that before, forgot to do the IS and car wouldn't start/run/stank of gas :P

but yeah upgrade to 15 neways

^hmm... lemme check the tune, im almost 100%certain i checked that on the tune.
(ill pull it up here in a sec)

it was using the ICS and during idle it worked fine, then we turned the ALT map state back to normal and shut off the car. On the next shot the car wouldnt start. I tried enabling the ALT map and then disabling it, no change in starts. Re-flashed the V5 tune, and it still wouldnt start. Swapped back to his original flash and everything was working just fine again.

just checked the ROM, and its there 513. its a bone stock 2003, with only 3-bar MAP and 3-port (my installing and tuning )
