94170014

Noob here. Can someone take a look at the attached XML and tell me what is wrong? I've copied over the Tephra V5 XML code, but the mods don't show up in ECUFlash.

At the same time I'm attempting to migrate from ROM 94170008 to 94170014.

I've watched Jamie's video and read Zach's tutorial and still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks,
Jim

Yes. I've gone through all of the steps so many times, I think I can do it blind folded.

The only part of your instruction in the top post that confused me was where you say "Delete all old XML files". Does that mean I need to delete all of the other XMLs in the EVO XML folder? Or, did that mean to delete old XML mod files from you?

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I thought all of this seemed pretty straight forward. But, I just can't get the mods to appear when I open the modded 14 ROM.

I am sure you did this, but did you copy the modified XML to the ECUflash cirectory?

I actually modified the XML file that was/is located in the ECUflash XML dir under Mitsu/EVO. I should not have to copy any XML file as I understand it. Where would you be copying an XML file from and to?

Or, are you saying that Tephra's modified ROM file needs to reside in the ECUflash dir? I did not move it; I simply left it in the folder where I unzippered it.

Jim, I modify the xml in a seperate directory and then move the changed xml to the ecuflash/evo folder. I have forgotten to copy them over and ran into the same issue. Have you checked that you are in developer mode?

So, you are saying move the 94170014 XML from the Mitsu/EVO folder to a separate dir. Make the modifications. Then move it back to the Mitsu/EVO folder. I don't follow your reasoning here. But I'll try it anyway.

I did make a back up of the original 94170014 XML in a safe place, but I don't see how the program could be finding the b/u file by mistake.

Jim, I modify the xml in a different location for version control. I was not sure if you where doing the same that is why I asked. YOu do not have to do it, but I know I have forgotten to copy over before.

SOunds like you may need to wipe everything clean and start again, just to verify.

You mean reinstall ECUflash? Or just do the Tephra V5 patch again?
