In 88590015-v5-xml.txt, there is mention of the following:
3) Remove your current "Base Wastegate Duty" #2 and #3, only #1 matters anymore
There is no "Base Wastegate Duty" extry in 88590015.xml. Only one that comes close is "Max Wastegate Duty # 1-3"

Hi guys sorry for the n00b questions but with the above, do I need to remove or rename the above if I'm not going to use alt maps or ecu boost control?

Basically I dont want to use the alt maps or the rear o2 simulator at this stage just the NTLS / ICS state / Vallet / knock flash.

So if i use the original XML and add in the tables which are required for this mod and adjust the options for NTLS / ICS / Vallet / Knock and disable the altmap and o2 sensor by putting a 0 next to them then update the imobiliser code i should be right to flash and go drive yeah? Since I have a stock ROM i shouldnt need to move any tables accross right? or am I off? Ohh i have rom id 88590013 but using 88590014.

Thanks for your help and efforts!

Just a quick question. I see the default NLTS RPM drop has changed from 1500 rpm's in v2 down to 800 rpm's in v5. Is there a reason this was done? I have changed my v5 to 1500 for the time being.

I gotta dig thru this old thread but all the info on how I logged mine originally is in there.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ight=failsafes

The Alt map/standard map value should be between 0 and 3, not all the way to 255. Grab that volt meter when you can, I'd like to know what voltages you're getting at the harnesses power connections and at the ECU pin output.

Thanks for clarifying. I was also trying to point out this error to tephra so he can edit the text file accordingly to not confuse more people.

255 in RAW just means 5v, right?

if 3v is 153, then 5v is 255. isnt that how your switch is designed? designed for 5v diodes and such? (im not a electronics guru...)

why not make it only for the 88840017 rom...

we could all update to it.. no need for previous versions IMO...

Right, the highest value the ADC input is designed to accept is 5v, which is switched from an analog input signal (voltage) to a digital signal (raw hex value) for the ECU to use, hence the whole "ADC" input which stands for analog-to-digital input. My harness just limits the input voltage to roughly 4-5v when the switch is turned on, while having a LED indicator to remind the user which position they have the switch in.

When logging the address to determine which set of "maps" the ECU is using, I believe its more like a binary output. When I logged mine, it was either a 0 for standard maps and a 1 for alt maps.

You're right, I don't expect any problem about it.
Hopefully, there is enough place left to patch this v5

I am running the 94170008 and will be moving to the 94170015. I am going to skip the 94170014. It is going to take some time to sort out the differences though.

Sounds like we need a thread to coordinate all available mods to the early USDM 03-04 evos.

come to find out mrfred is releasing ecu boost mods for 0014 here very soon, so 03 guys using ecu control boost with mrfred mods no worries . Once I get my car back from the dealer i will test out 0014 v5 on 0008 rom ID, let you guys know whats up.

silex - Max wastegate duty should really be called Base wastegate duty

kayman - regardless of whether you use altmaps or not you should hide/remove/rename the "other" tables, ie #2 and #3 (and maybe #4 if you have it) of bdel, bwgd, timing

S2kracka - yes you can set it to 1500 if you like, although 800 seems nicer

NineWorks/Kkarim - yes I will do 88840017 soonish
