Lower Thermostat Temp?
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=127473
I'm hoping there's a way to lower the coolant temp setting that the ECU picks up. I'm having the same problem as the OP in the above thread had.

Due to the CEL, the car runs pig rich since it thinks something is wrong. Yeah I guess that would help, but in this case a CEL is a good thing (minus the crappy mileage, hah) since that means I'm actually driving the car slowly which keeps the temp down for a daily drive, lol. It's the smart light this time around and not the idiot light, haha. I find it hard to believe that Ralliart would release a thermostat that throws CEL. There's got to be a workaround somewhere in the ROM to compensate. I don't want to keep popping in the stock one for street driving and then have to pop in the Ralliart on the track.

It actually should be "Max WGDC vs Coolant Temp"
Thank mrfred for finding these:
Here are the entries to add to 88590015.xml:
<table name="Max WGDC Correction vs TPS" category="Turbo" address="3f10" type="2D" level="1" scaling="WGDuty">
<table name="TPS" address="7284" type="Y Axis" elements="9" scaling="ThrottleVoltage16"/>
</table>
<table name="Max WGDC vs Coolant Temp" category="Turbo" address="65d0" type="2D" level="1" scaling="WGDuty">
<table name="Coolant Temp" address="70f8" type="Y Axis" elements="8" scaling="Temp"/>
</table>
For 96940011.xml, add:
<table name="Max WGDC Correction vs TPS" category="Turbo" address="3b14" type="2D" level="1" scaling="WGDuty">
<table name="TPS" address="6002" type="Y Axis" elements="9" scaling="ThrottleVoltage16"/>
</table>
<table name="Max WGDC vs Coolant Temp" category="Turbo" address="56d2" type="2D" level="1" scaling="WGDuty">
<table name="Coolant Temp" address="5eae" type="Y Axis" elements="8" scaling="Temp"/>
</table>
Add the following entry to the evo7base.xml and evo9base.xml files:
<scaling name="ThrottleVoltage16" units="V" toexpr="x*5/256" frexpr="x*256/5" format="%.2f" min="0" max="5" inc="0.05" storagetype="uint16" endian="little"/>

Thanks razorlab and mrfred! Few more questions before I can try this out. Does this mean that "Min Temp for Full Boost Control" can be deleted (commented out) with no ill effects? How would I set the values for both new sets of tables to get rid of the CEL?

I'm confused why you posted that then since that was the whole intent of this thread. By the way, the thermostat opens up at 71C. I think CEL occurs when coolant sensor picks up a temp below a cetain threshold. Of course this temp will be lower since the thermostat opens at an earlier temp. So maybe there's a way to lower the temp threshold that is detected?

I posted it because Jorge T suggested the "Min Temp for Full Boost Control" table which is an incorrect def.
It sounds like somebody needs to find if the ecu has a min/max temp threshold table like it does for idle speed.
