Any benefits in advancing idle mivec?

Are there any benefits for advancing the idle in the mivec?

I have 272 cams and at 14* they idle like stock.

If there are any benefits, what are they?

TIA

Advancing the inlet cam will increase overlap. This is likely to reduce idle vacuum, reduce idle torque and increase hydrocarbon emissions. I see only disadvantages.

These words are so well put that it is no longer nessesary to further contibute to the thread as I have just done

But it will also cause internal egr slowing the burn causing miss and idle hunt

so for 500-1000 rpm and 20-40load you should have 0* in your MIVEC table?
