hrmm interesting how your IAT goes UP during spool.

POD filter yeh?..

I think you might benefit from boxing it and running a CAI...

Except for the fact that I live in MN. There is so much crap on the roads, I would never run a CAI here. Right now its salt/snow/ice/crud which melts and gets into everything. Soon it will be water, ice, and standing water on the roads, and soon thereafter massive puddles. Then just when that's gone, there will be salt/gravel/sand all over the roads, until they finally clean them off at the end of spring.

Tephra, you live down under, if you put a CAI in your car it'd surely suck in some uber poisonous snake or spider and maybe a kangaroo or two?!?!?!

Unhappy

I have some questions.
In Italy and in other European countries the 88580014 are installed on EVO IX RS ECU. Hardware MAT, MAP sensor, SAS, dual BCS are fitted.
MAP and SAS are ok and the function is perfect but MAT doesn’t work.
I searched on the ECU but there is no MAT routine, on the contrary MAP sensor has his routine but is not linearizzed like JDM ECU!
I don’t understand why I have all the hardware but MAT doesn’t work and I don’t understand how the MAP sensor function without JDM setting!
Is there anyone who can answer me?

i think u will find that 88580014 is the WRONG ROMID for that car.

88580014 has no provision for MAP/MAT/DUAL BCS and not even sure about SAS.

MAP works because its a simple electrical connection and then logging just works. MAT requires some non-linear scaling, which just isn't included in that ROMID. V6 of my mods will include it...

Yes Dave I agree. But…but your MOD it’s an important MOD that permits a lot more functions!
A question for ver. 6.
Normally in the JDM ECU there is a more accurate fuel control with the MDP and MAT.
Do you also put this JDM routine in your new MOD?

Thanks a lot for your work, Giammarco

Instructions in the second post of this thread have been updated to include the 94170015 ROM. 96530006 instructions have been moved to the second post of this thread as well.

MrFred, do you have patched versions of Tephra ROMs or can I just apply the xml changes in EcuFlash and modify the values accordingly?

Where is the ideal location, Intake Manifold or UICP? When I asked Buschur about putting a bung in the IM they recommended the UICP.

It will be far easier to just copy the MAT tables over to your existing ROM

If you're planning to do SD, then putting the sensor in the IM makes the most sense from a theory standpoint. Its more work to get it in there though.

V6 has MAT built in.

We just need to reconcile that against John's SD code
