boost cut with 98640014 def

i have used the above def on an evo 7 jdm ecu earlier only to get boost cut when it was set at the max, i tried 2 ecus and downloaded 2 diff versions of the xml incase boost was referenced in the wrong location on the xml or i had a dodgy one, but couldnt get rid of the boost cut, it was def boost cut btw, i plugged in an ljetro and it ran fine, no cut

any ideas on this?

thx

it wasnt like boost was at its highest, but it was defo a boost cut, it happened about 6500rpm, where boost would have been falling away a little, peaking say 1.6bar and falling to 1.4 bar at peak power, it was a straight cut i could see from the log files as the tps was still at 100%, was just like hitting a wall, never had this problem on all the 8s and 9s ive done the boost limit values were set to max, 319 iirc

thanks

didnt have the snorkel thing on, had an induction kit and was using a mbc logged via the dyno. it peaked 1.6 bar and held 1.4 very smooth boost curve

Or increase boost cut delay timer to 10000ms (default 3000ms)

There seem to be some bad deffinitions out there for this ROM, which is a pain as I did most of the work on that def, with some help from a few guys. Put your ROM back to standard then try this def attached.

Hi

I'm using 1.34, I have an xml for earlier ECUflash version but it's not so clean as I've not updated it. This xml should work for all Evo 7 with the 98640014 ROM id, they are all JDM cars really. Do you have any specific problems?

I experienced that if your car running too rich (above 8 afr), your car will feel like hitting the wall at peak boost... any rpm range from 4000-6000rpm... try get a wideband to confirm this?
