Isnt FBA bit 0 for leanspool not bit 7 , in periphery1 if you change 0009 leanspool on to 0008 leanspool off it changes bit0 from 1 to 0

0xfba bit0 is leanspool - not bit7

0xfaa bit2 is immob disable - not bit5

also 0xfaa bit10 is "timing knockdown on light acceleration < 3000rpm"

not sure if the others are right on not...

FCA bit 4 and 5 are for the P0300 check, right?

Bit7 was listed in what I put together, due to the earlier mod that barryC put together.

Disabling bit 7 seems to mess with the comms (can't get fault codes from the ecu etc).

FCA bit 1 is listed as P0421 here, is the FCA bit 1 the only one related to this P0421 test? If so, I guess I can just turn this off to disable P0421 test without affecting other rear O2 related test?

I have a 200 cpsi metal cat, and I usually do not get this code, but I had this one when I was cruising on highway on a cool day.

ace33joe, unfortunately, FCA bit 1 did not fix the P0421 on my 88580013 rom.
Maybe it will on yours though.

Thanks for your input. So does AUDM EVO IX have a rear O2 sensor as USDM EVOs? I checked JDM Ralliart EVO VIII rom and those two bits related to rear O2 sensors were indeed off. I guess I will try it off and see if the light ever comes back. (Although I had the P0420 SES light only once so far and didn't come back yet)

Yes, the AUDM9 has then rear sensor.
Aside from the tephra fix, the only other known fix is the sensor extender or positioning the sensor after the main cat.
I had a go at adding a 4k7 ohm resistor across the rear sensor, which did change/reduce the signal voltage. Have not had time to verify if this is an actual fix, though it looked about right on an oscilloscope.

merlin: mrfred and acamus were working on a patch to disable the heater check as well (actually, acamus had some working code for a relatively generic enable/disable scheme).

Although...thinking about this a bit more, wouldn't it be even simpler to disable the tests you don't care about entirely via the periphery, then use jcsbanks' DMA work to set any tests to a ready state, if OBD-II testing is a concern in your area?

What does FAA Bit 0 do? SOmewhere in the last month I switched it from 0 to 1 in my ROM and want to know what it does and if it is contributing to some issues I am having? ROM = 96530006 Tephra 5.10.
