very confused about email tune?

was emailing someone who works at street tuned motorsports and he was explaining to me that people can email tunes to me for my car. How does this work? im assuming they email it to you and burn it to a disc and put on a laptop and connect to your ecu on the car? i have absolutly no clue! can someone explain this to me i may be intrested, because i just bought an HKS intake and was told to wait for a tune to install it so it doesnt mess wiht my cars idle'ing!

thanks-ricky

Basically we start with a base map for your car all handled via email so theres no down time. You'll use either Evoscan or Mitsulogger to record what the cars doing, with that information I'll adjust the ECU to run better with your mods.

Typically takes 7-10 maps to have a completed custom tune. The only requirement is having a laptop and cable. I sell the cable for $90 shipped and my initial tune is $150. Down the road when you add more mods its half price.

If you have any questions shoot me a pm. My website is up and running at 90% now if you'd like to check that out

Cheers!

I also would use a more known tuner. I have never heard of these guys??
You could go with the big guys and know your getting results and piece of mind. This is your engine and possibly your life your betting on with a tune
Just my opinion, Best of luck

We've detailed the concept of e-flashing on the Help & How-To Section of our site.

Feel free to demo our website on the Customer Login page. We don't bother with e-mail, we've made our own online tune interface that lets you know exactly what we doing and why we're doing it.

It also means that we've got a full backup of everything done to your tune, and of all the logs you send us.

I should have everything in stock by the end of next week. If you're anxious to get going, you can order the OpenPort 1.3U cable directly from www.tactrix.com

The wideband is strongly recommended.

The $99 is for the cost of the tune, and you're all set for 6 months. This would be purchased in addition to the Complete Kit or by itself if you get the OpenPort cable on your own.
