It seems that that ecuflash for the X is only a few weeks away. They have already found some of the maps, its only a short matter of time before we have all of them.

I will say by the end of next week, or the following it will be unlocked and ready for the masses.

Since I got my ECUTek tune, am I locked? Am I able to go to openport?

Read post #72. I believe he was replying to my post on page 2 or 3.

We can only assume that the person posting is actually from Ecutek. Someone with an Ecutek flash will have to be the first to try.

probably... I know in the past Ecutek would lock them to keep people from being able to pull the files out. I don't see any reason why they would change that for their latest versions.

It can be unlocked as many did with the VIIIs and the IX's but really Nobody with a IX should have an ECUTek tune that would be silly

Man, I REALLY wish I would have known all of this stuff was coming out a few months ago when I bought my cable... argggg!

Anyone know if the openport 2.0 will be able to log/communicate with AYC and ABS ECUs like the newer evoscan cable?

I wouldn't say all of them, but definitely enough to start tuning properly. It will definitely progress much more quickly once the program disseminates into the wild a bit.

You guys are still missing one piece of the puzzle. ECUFlash has to be modified to be able to read and write to the Evo X ECU.
