mrfred, thank you thank you thank you for posting up those graphs. Anyone tuning injector latencies could benefit from simply comparing their values to stock, as you have. You have the added benefit of comparing them versus lab results, making the graphs even stronger. Putting my values in compared to yours made me realize that my 9 and 12v values were low. Worse, the values they were currently at were the highest I had tried towards the end of my dial-in tuning, and that they looked low compared to your values and the stock values. I bumped 9v to 1.75ms and 12v to 1.2ms and I will report back the results. Doing that would make *all* of my values within ~.010ms of your numbers, which means something I think we all had thought was not going to happen with these injectors: CONSISTENCY!
Rock on, I'll report back

Once the warm-start issue is solved, yes, they will be just like stock. Driveability is awesome, I think my car runs better on these than the stockers (seriously). I have tons of fuel now so I have lots and lots and lots of overhead for E85 or a massive turbo upgrade, or not. These injectors make tons of power at only 60% IDC (peak), just like you'd expect. Install was easy, build quality is great, and the price is right.

So mrfred, I have an idea. Since you have that sweet test setup, how about another test? Let's find out what the temperature of the core or surface of these injectors is when cold, hot, and warm while in the engine bay, then figure out how to do your test and heat the injectors (*carefully*) and see if the measured latencies change. If they do, perhaps a hack or even we could figure out some way to compensate during starting based on temperature. I mean what is it about this medium temperature that makes these injectors sputter?

C'mon, all ya need is to add a thermoresister or two to your test rig and then whip out the old propane torch! LOL!
I tried my new latency settings last night, and I think the car is dialed in where I want it. I have a wideband coming in tomorrow or thursday, so power tuning begins, then dyno whenever I can get in.

After thinking about it a bit more, I realized that I could do it with a heat gun (big *** hair dryer), but its still dicey. The tubing that connects the injector to the flow loop is only rated for 30 psi, so I've been pushing the limit when going to 43 psi. The tubing wouldn't survive at higher temp. Yeah, I could replace the tubing, but then I don't have any injectors laying around, ...

Well, if you DO do this (which would be awesome) you should also do it with a stock injector too, just so we can continue to do benchmark comparisons between them. Perhaps we could contact FIC with the issue, and see if they would donate or borrow one or two of these to you for the test?

I guess the 1050's are different than the 1000's although not according to Jen at FIC.
When my FIC 1000 trims are off and/or the injector seals not 100% seated (not sure which caused it) I had war/hot starting issues. Now my trims are -1 and -1 according to mitsulogger and even with trims worse than that my car has no real issues starting in all conditions. I do not know if anything i said is of value but I figured I would chime in anyway. My scaling values seem to be different even after taking the 5% difference of the 1000 to 1050 into consideration as well.
