mrfred, does playing with the cold start enrichment tables (https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=347668) affect your warm/hot start at all? It appears that other different brand large-injector users experience similar issues.

Haven't tried it yet, but I'd expect that I'd have to take out fuel in the warm start range. I'm working with Jens to figure out what's happening here. We're going to look at whether there is any seepage under pressure.

mrfred, are you using different latency values for your E85 and pump gas tunes?

Using the same latencies for pump gas and E85. I just change the size scaling. Trims are spot on with either fuel. Idle is usually within +/- 1% (haven't seen it exceed +/-2%), and cruise is usually within +/- 2% (haven't seen it exceed +/-3%).

You'd figre that you'd need to change the latencies since the density of the two fuels are so different.

One would think. I'd have some input but I'm still trying to figure out why my long term fuel trims don't work anymore.

Good idea. I switched ECU's and everything but flashed it with the same rom...

Not yet, maybe this is my cue to finally move it over to that.

The density of the two fuels is similar. Its the higher flow requirement for E85 that's different. I'm sure that's what you meant. The injector scaling should take care of the fuel flow difference, so I think that as long as good latency values are selected, the only thing that should need changing is injector scaling.

mrfred, When you installed the injectors did you notice anything about how they seating into the chambers? I am installing now and notice they don't sit as deep into the chambers as the stock injectors. THoughts?

The fit is definitely snug, and the rail has to be fully tightened down before they will appear fully seated. Its definitely necessary to lube the o-ring and also the donut seal at the IM. I found it helpful to jiggle the injectors around as I was cinching down the rail. That helped fully seat the injectors in the IM.

Thanks for the tip. I found one of the injectors not fully seated in the rail while jiggling them. Reseated the injector and everything installed well. Now to the tuning.

Is there a special way to adjust the latency? If you use the + on the cell it maxes out. If I type 980 I get a 975 in the cell and can't get another adjustment until 1008. Is this correct?
