I'm an idiot to this so I need it put very simply. I'm not worried about the tuning portion of it, but I have the 3 port and have installed it. I basically hooked it up like the 2 port with leaving the compressor port not hooked up. From what I remember, isn't there a tee going from the wastegate and the compressor off of one of the original ports on the 2 port? If so, do I just run a vacuum line from the compressor port on the new solenoid to the turbo and basically take out the tee?

I picked up a Prodrive BCS. Resistance is 23.5 ohms whereas the stock BCS is 33.6 ohms. What is the resistance of the GM BCS?

MAC/AEM is ~13 ohms if I remember correctly

I found the resistance of the GM BCS on NASIOC: 24 ohms

is this better than a MBC? on the MBC you just set the boost at the desired level and have to modify it from times to times, but here it looks like you have a lot of work modifying maps. so is it worh it? in terms of boost/power.. it's a question.

Depends on who you talk to. Most people who have the compentence and patience to tune the stock boost control system love it. The Tactrix BCS is not the best choice though.

Can I ask you why?
I was thinking about what BCS to choose instead of the stock one, only to try something different, your opinion will be much appreciated

Hi guys,

are there are any differences between installing Tactrix 3-ports solenoid and GM 3-ports solenoid on Evo5 JDM?

I have installed one (like in this post) and still can't get it work.. Here is my situation:

If I connect it without resistor it looks like fine, the car is over-boosting like it should, but when I make changes in ROM (as described here or here), there are no changes in boost after reflash, it's still over-boosting for about 1.6bar =\

If I connect the solenoid using resistor, the car boost for about 0.6bar and there are also no changes after reflashing. Looks like Tactrix BCS doesn't work at all with resistor (I have the same effect if I disconnect power from it at all). Resistance of stock BCS on this Evo5 is about 72 ohms, the Tactrix BCS is 24 ohms, so I decided to use 47 ohms resistor on the ground wire.

What I'm doing wrong? Any help will very appreciated.
